The Kerfuffle over the Right Wing’s Insistence on Conjuring Alternate Realities
Apparently, I do not have the ability to claim alternate realities as real. I don’t know how this happened, but I’m stuck watching this reality that most of the world seems to see the same as I do. I just do not have the skill set that will elevate me to the alchemy necessary to conjure a living reality that no one but me can see or experience. I’m just a little jealous of most of the right wing for their collective abilities to see plot twists in events that I just do not see at all.

The M.O. of the GOP
Did you know that immigration is the reason the United States has the lowest inflation rate in the western world? No Jive. This is according to the Congressional Budget Office. Not only that, immigrants are predicted to add 7 trillion dollars to the GDP during the time span of 2023 to 2034¹. That’s from Congress’s own Budget office. I’m not sure, but I kind of think that’s a lot of money. Now what?

Is There Really Life Beyond the MAGA Puddle of Perception?
We human beings are just captured way too often by our imaginations. I think it’s pretty easy to step into that puddle. You looking for where and how that happens? Just take a little peek into the goings on in Washington since Congress has returned. Nothing much has changed and they’re still swimming in the same puddle they were in when they went on break, which is not the least bit surprising. The reason they’re swimming in circles, though, looks like they’re being led in circles by two mental giants or maybe two otherworldly multiverse travelers. Whatever they are, they don’t do much unless you count swimming in circles as some kind of accomplishment.

The Thinly Veiled Racism of the Republican Orange Boy Fantasy
My daddy told me one time when I was knee-high to a grasshopper–okay it was a really big grasshopper–that I would do well to look a man in the eye when he paid me. I was not to take my pay by reaching behind my back to get it. In time I learned that to do as he instructed, it was necessary to do my work as he had instructed me too. His only instruction about work was, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” Right meant that not only was work to be done to a standard higher than a client could reach himself and to be done efficiently and, obviously, so that it could not be done better in the same time by anyone. It could be done as well, but if someone could do it better, the job just wasn’t done yet. I’ve found in my brief sojourn here in this world that the old man knew what he was talking about.

Have We Become a Nation of Pig Beauty Apologists?
Not that it’s any of my business particularly, but I have a couple of thoughts about “woke” that I’d like to run by you for your esteemed consideration. I think there’s a good chance that underneath the Republican bullshit about the poor old unsuspecting word “woke,” there are some real nuggets of wisdom we shouldn’t ignore completely, merely because some often offensive Other thought smart thoughts. Besides, I suspect that the part of what those folks are calling “woke” is really a stupid part of the “We all be one big old feelings protected family. Kumbaya!” crowd and other equally challenged demographics on both sides of the great Left/Right divide. Maybe what the anti-woke wing of the Freedom Circus is trying to say (but lack the verbal mastery to spit out), is there are word salads which just do not make sense simply because they do not define reality but rather attempt to put lipstick on all their pigs. That is something that has gradually become all too real in our society. I fear we’ve advanced into a nation of pig beauty apologists.

6B vs 53 Years of Keeping the Country Safe
I’ve been watching news reports over the last few days of what I suppose to have been a hearing on something, but it turned out to be a bitch session for our long-time source of great material, 6B (Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body). I do so wish that girl understood the difference between knowing how you know anything at all and claiming knowledge of anything at all without knowing the source of that knowledge. 6B wouldn’t even acknowledge that Dr. Fauci was actually a doctor with decades of experience. She stated that he should be in jail because she didn’t like to have to wear a mask.
