RJ's Self Reflection, and Filling Voids and entire body of work captures a rare niche: a truly unique voice, with thought-provoking illustrations to match. This piece offers a grounded exploration of the intersection between art and personal identity, drawing on the wisdom of artists and thinkers like Picasso, Aristotle, and Palahniuk. Give it a read and a look 👀 🎨
Now it's your turn. Share your favorite stories in the comments below. Spooky stories encouraged. Happy Halloween!

Hii there. I am Anwesha, a 17 year old girl immersed in writing as a result of frustration. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/writer-s-space%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E. I am a beginner and would adore love and support from the community. Here are 2 favorite poets 1) SK parihar: A superhuman who feels what's going inside you https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/conversation-with-invisibility%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E... This is one of my favorite poems!! 2) Babs Iverson: She taught a beginner different writing styles and how to converse emotions ❤ https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/asleep-vg7ec0hti%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E ... Poem to die for! I would mention him but I don't know what happened to his id! I guess it's hacked or something... Benjamin Adjej if you are reading this pls get back! Hi, I'm Maryam Batool. I'm a 16 year old girl. I fall for poems 2 years ago and started writing. I post poems (mostly) and my childhood stories. I guess if you read my poems, you'll at least not get bored! About being 'a pro', well, I can't guarantee. 😄 If you check my work, I'll appreciate it! Here's are 2 people, who are not as famous here but I guess you should follow, or atleast who are my favourite creators; ----- 1. Sk Parihar : 😎 He is a great writer. He writes stories that can capture your eye in the first-read. Poems are realistic and expressive. Someone who doesn't brag, but actually creates stories that are mind-blowing!✨ My favourite ones are two these : . (written with the core of heart) https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/a-precious-gem-that-i-have-lost%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E And : (Got me crying, I swear) https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/i-lost-my-childhood%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E His profile: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/sk-parihar%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E A good boy, who would read your work sincerely, appreciate you truly and can say some actual words too (🤫😃) Thank you, for making my journey special ✌ 2. Komal : 💖 A girl who was my first reader here, my first commenter! A girl whom I can call a PRO and won't be bragging. She writes beyond imagination. Sometimes, the writing is so deep that it takes me time to realize, and understand. . Her profile: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/komal%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E Thank you komal for supporting me, and being the 1st one ✨
HI! I am Ha Le Sa
Hi, I’m Pauline. I hope you will take the time to read because you will be introduced to 2 writers I hold in great esteem. About me? Surely for all of us is our Bio and to read some of my work. My profile: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/pauline-fountain%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E * Firstly I want to Champion the Vocal+ ‘Raise Your Voice’ thread. I am truly thankful to have been introduced to new and extraordinary writers! Before I Champion my first of 2 writers, I’d like to include the comments made to the featured author and his piece ‘Self Reflection, and Filling Voids.’ My comment: ‘Hi there! I have Subscribed and hearted. How could I not? What magnificent writing! Your inline quotes are relevant, and this takes time, but they add so much value. Your illustrations are wonderful and thought-provoking, making me reflect on my own life. For me? That’s the essence of outstanding art. If I were to choose a favourite work, it would be ‘The Void.’ I feel it is a mirror of my daily life. I am the sculpture!!! I have Bipolar 1 (Rapid Cycling) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Then, in October 2023, I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder That should go part way to explaining. With kindness and gratitude, Pauline 🌸’ ‘Back to say Congratulations on the Top Story, and I found my way to you via ‘Vocal’s raise your voice’ (the most recent) Pauline ♥️’ * Now, as a writer, I MUST Champion! Lamar Wiggins! His profile: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/lamar-wiggins%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E * Firstly, to the profound: ‘Citizen's State of the Union Address: United We Stand, Divided We Fall.’ https://shopping-feedback.today/humans/citizen-s-state-of-the-union-address%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E Lamar won ‘Runner-Up in We Have a Dream Challenge’ It is an impressive reflection on humanity. He begins with: "We are all Created Equal What does this really mean?” Lamar includes: ‘The first thing I plan to do is share this article, and hopefully, it gives readers a different perspective on why people react the way they do to life situations!’ And I can vouch for that! * My Comment: Hi Lamar, Congrations: ‘Runner-Up in We Have a Dream Challenge’ !!! It is an impressive reflection on humanity. "We are all Created Equal. What does this mean?“ And you helped me reflect as I read. And that in itself provides me with a profound gift. Rather than an ‘essay’, you elegantly elucidate the questions you raise, you add examples to help the reader understand your pathway helping others. A combined dose of reality with inspiration and hope! Your ‘need to write and share’ - your call to action certainly worked for me! Pauline 🌸 * Make sure to read some of Lamar’s ‘Sky-ku’ entries: My favourite? ‘To wish upon Sky-ku’ https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/to-wish-upon%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E * The second writer I MUST Champion is Pepe Kapev. His profile: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/pepe-kapev%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E * ‘The Eagle and the Wolf A Fable’ is a MUST READ! https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/the-eagle-and-the-wolf%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E My Comment: My insights were working yesterday. I finally thought Vocal had solved it, but sorry, I can’t add. Because I would lie to have applied to your fable. This made me highly emotional. It resonated so deeply with me. I have a range of mental illnesses, and one is complex trauma. The wolf manifests in many ways in my mind, but as the protagonist. Yet here, the wolf is the victim, and I can relate. I’m struggling at the moment and have some tears in my eyes. Indeed ‘-I’ve gotten used to it, eagle. I fear that I wouldn’t survive without this chain, for I no longer remember what it’s like to hunt for myself.’ I’m no longer denied my freedom and have broken the chains of slavery. But it remains a struggle when triggers resurface. Thank you for writing. Pauline 🌸 * Of note: These are his Illustrations!! * This is a lengthy post, but I need to be true to my beliefs and make it plain why I Championed the writers above. Plus, it is worth mentioning that both of us began a conversation that included to read each other's writing. Reciprocity in action! Pauline 🌸
Hi! Buddies I am kikii, I'm here to just read and appreciate all the creators whole heartedly so that they could keep on writing their such an intriguing thoughts and keep on feeding us with their thoughts. I also want to thank The Vocal team for giving us such an amazing opportunity to read, write and express our thoughts by words :) I highly recommend checking out this read- https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/who-are-you-when-nobody-is-watching-av1yql00b2%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E — this inspired me because of its such a deep, creativity, or unique perspective. It’s one of those reads that lingers long after you’ve finished, and I think you'll love it too! I think this could be the Top Story.
Hello, all. Writing is our life. But sometimes we try to write as we try to have a life. Or, have a life as we try to write. I'm well into the Story-a-Day for 2024 and I'm beginning to know my limits. It's taking more time to write each one as I circle the drain. (The brain drain.) The other 2 remaining know what I mean. Anyway, I'm out of the country from Nov 8-18, and although I should have my stories-of-the-day stacked and ready to go, I'll be working via an iPhone, so have mercy on me. Also, I am sooooo behind on my reading. Please forgive me, all. To London with 3 grandkids...pray for me. Wish me luck. Keep the defibrillator handy. Oh, a shout out? Is that what's happening here? I have a top 10, but anything by John Cox. Just sayin'.
Hey y'all! Been reading these comments and the stories mentioned. It's so cool to read so many different works by so many different authors! Well done to all of you 😁👍🍁. As for me, I'll be publishing another story for the 'Fantasy Prologue II' soon! (Its been taking awhile to write, I'm sick...🤮.) As for my favourite authors, here is a list of some few: https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/mariann-carroll-blxmg016h%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/handsomelouii-the-poet-lonzo-ward%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/lana-v-lynx%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/pk-colleran%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/veronica-coldiron%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E (Obviously I couldn't mention all of the great content creators I enjoy reading from.) I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoyed yours 😉.
In no particular order 😊🤗❤️ 1. Mark (the drabble writer): I've been reading his work for a while but this one stood out to me, the child character was so peculiar that it pulled me in, it made me want to know more about her https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/just-for-fun-4%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E 2. Tiffany: A very inspiring piece, I felt empowered while reading it. I felt like I wanted to put some heels on and dance in the rain. I felt like I could face any day no matter what it might bring. Her bubbly personality came out through the words as well and it does help to soften the damage of a not so great day https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/fix-your-crown-queen%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E 3. Emily: Of course I could not get over this haiku, it was so unexpected, the side she took and the picture she painted it blew me away. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/don-t-rain%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E 4. Komal: a complete mind reader. She knows exactly how to speak to her readers through her writing. It made me feel connected to both her and her writing and it was very special to me. https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/making-peace-with-yourself%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

I highly recommend River Joy and Célia in Under land as collaborators and individual authors:https://shopping-feedback.today/horror/acheron-point%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
I'm D.J. Reddall, sessional lecturer by day, scribbler by night. I think this sky-ku, by Natalie Wilkinson, is particularly striking: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/the-wild-geese%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Hi there, I'm Calvin, a writer from "Down Under." I write mainly poetry on Vocal but I am also starting to put some of my other stories about life and all those wonderful things that 'make your head hurt' thinking about them. Most of them appear in the FYI category. Nice to meet you all (virtually). There are two people that I have come to admire in my short time on Vocal: Henrik Hageland: https://shopping-feedback.today/chapters/the-revolt-in-ashdale-chapter-7-the-witch-ellevi%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E If you haven't tuned into this story - do so. It is a great read. The other one is Mike Singleton. Mike is an inspiration not only in his writing but also as someone who goes out of his way to support his writers. I particularly liked his story about how we have fallen into the trap of pronoun naming, link below: https://shopping-feedback.today/pride/if-30go06gp%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E (For my ten cents worth, I am 'me'. Like it or lump.) I am really enjoying Vocal.
Hi, I'm Sam. I'm mainly a poet but I have been working on doing non poetry type articles. I'm also doing my memoir. I will tell you I have read some great stuff this week. I highly recommend you read these writers: Kristen Balyeat's https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/i-n-e-f-f-a-b-l-e%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E --- River Joy & Celia in Underland 's https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/woman-in-two-parts%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E --- Simran Daniel's https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/there-is-something-about-poets%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E There's more but unfortunately I didn't bookmark the ones that I really like the best this week & only remembered these 3. This is what happens when you become an old dyke.. 😂🤣
This might be cheating, but I am celebrating the Vocal community's response to the sky-ku challenge "en ensemble". My jaw-drop count has been too high to call out just a few favorites. Taking in so many astonishing, evocative, vibrant poems feels more like reading an anthology than scrolling through a challenge. My appreciation has been multiplied by enjoying these haiku as a collection. Bravo, sky-ku peeps!!
D.J. Redall writes in such a profoundly unique and cryptic form. Check out one of his stories...https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/boneyard-blues%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Zivah has been winning a lot of challenges, and I think her entry into the Sky-ku Challenges is an example of why. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/clouded-vz2uqj03sh%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
