Selling Quick Job
Fresh out of school, I hadn’t gotten a scholarship and my parents couldn’t afford to put me through college, but I knew I wanted to travel. I looked for jobs that included travel, but there wasn’t much out there for high school graduates with no particular job skill.

The Witch (Circa 1966)
When I was a kid, one of the joys of my young life was coming home from school on a Friday night, knowing that if I had good marks in all my classes, I could stay up late and watch my two favorite shows. My first favorite was, hands down, Start Trek, but after it went off, there was a local show that I loved to watch, called "Shock Theater". The Ones That Got Away. Top Story - August 2024.
When I attended high school in Macon, Georgia I quickly made a new friend. She was bright, vivacious and had a great sense of humor. She had jet black, curly hair, blue eyes lit with mischief and an infectious smile. The best way to describe her was “petite voluptuous”. No matter where we went together, she was the life of the party and people, (especially guys), seemed drawn to her.

Early Christmas Decorating
I kicked off the holiday season (October 31st), with Covid-19 and Strep Throat. Excessive sinus issues had me on the couch, half sitting-half reclining just to sleep. One night, I was so weak and bereft of sleep that I wept non-stop thinking I would be dead before morning.
