When SpaceX Dragon Capsule exploded on April 20, 2019, Tom Mueller, the lead propulsion engineer, followed Elon Musk into his office minutes after Musk burst out of the mission control room.

Musk was sitting at his desk, with his back to the door, bent over sobbing, face in his palms, his shoulders shaking. Tom approached and touched his shoulder, "Are you OK, Elon?"

Elon turned around and yelled in his face, "No, I'm not OK! I will never be able to go home! You humans can't get the propulsion right!"

Petrified Mueller was only able to whisper, "What are you?"

100 words exactly make it a Drabble.

As many of you know, I love Drabbles and write a lot of them. I think it's time to put out an unofficial challenge. Here are your TORs:

Write a Drabble about Elon Musk, who is an alien, trying to go home. In one of his interviews he himself mentioned that he might be a 3,000-year-old time-traveling alien who got lost and is trying to get back to his home planet.

Your Drabble can be in any genre or form, including poetry, as long as it's exactly 100 words.

You can use my Drabble above as a spring board and develop or continue it in any direction, as long as it's exactly 100 words.

You can focus on anything - Musk's genius, his childhood or origin story, his companies, his human breeding program, his eating habits and lifestyle, his support of political causes - as long as it's exactly 100 words.

I guess you get the idea.

He must always want to go home.

Once you publish your story in Fiction, Poets, Critique or Writers Communities (I think those are the four that have no limit of minimum 600 words but I'd be happy to know if there are more), drop your link in the comments here.

I promise I will read them all and give small $1-5 tips to the ones I like, which will be probably most of them so you really have nothing to lose.

The deadline - October 31, 2025. I just want to add something other than horror to this month's avalanche of spooky stories.
