The steps to the State Senate allowed Loreen and Lisa’s mind to work as if they exercised. When they reached the doors they exhaled and laughed. Then, their demeanor became even more morose than mourners. The security guard checked their bags and let them keep their belongings. When they found the office of Mather Dale the office assistant had already let him know they had been en route. Dale rose to his feet.

Barrett Ladon looked at his accounts. The sea of red looked like his screen bled. As a senior vice president of Diamante Bank, he had used the company card past the limit. He knew this all fell on his shoulders and if he were to go to a credit card repair company, he’d be flagged before the next billing cycle. Diamante would fire him and he’d be back to moving furniture. Or maybe he could be a crabber again and make almost the same amount of money as he did in a suit and tie.

Manufactured in Newark, Delaware, this plant promised the idea that electric, autonomous vehicles could be produced and consumed in a place that once served as hostile ground.
