The helicopter ride over the city of Wilmington, Delaware seemed pleasant. Everything appeared to go smoothly until Loreen and Lisa viewed the electric banner, clear and ugly from their vantage point.

“KILL CAPITALISM” it read.

“It’s amazing how people can use an idea just to try to defeat said idea,” Loreen observed with a calmness in her voice.

Their ride ended when the aircraft landed on the roof of a skyscraper.

“What we have on deck is another meeting with Jovial Pridgen,” Lisa said looking at her digital schedule.

“Makes sense,” Loreen said. “What’s the major malfunction today?”

“She is dedicated to the role of private schools. She wants to make the market for private education like smartphones.”

The ladies all greeted each other again.

“It’s lovely to see you both again,” Jovial announced.

“Yes, now let’s get to it,” Loreen commanded with a gentle timbre.

“I always loved your directness,” Jovial pointed out. “Okay, we want to bring a plan that should revolutionize the way educators and students interact in this space.”

“What are your specifics?” Loreen asked.

“We seek to teach advanced mathematics and English literature at grades four through eight. We seek to teach our teachers the Socratic method and to bring about incentives to learning.”

“Like bonuses for performance for teachers?” Lisa queried.

“And students, too….” Jovial replied.

Eyebrows raised. Jovial continued.

“We find that if students become motivated by the dollar, they’re more readily able to do their best work.”

“Shouldn’t that be left up to their parents? You’ll have minors on the payroll….”

“Exactly. It’s just like accounts for children in the entertainment industry. They will have a specific place to keep their funds that will be independent from their parents.”

Loreen looked curious. A small smirk wrapped around her mouth.

“This could work.”
