Metal gleamed. The robots moved as if in a ballet. Each of their actions seemed agile and direct. From the viewing point on a bridge above them, Loreen, Lisa, and Ferguson Stiles, CEO of SuperTime Chinese cars stood. Manufactured in Newark, Delaware, this plant promised the idea that electric, autonomous vehicles could be produced and consumed in a place that once served as hostile ground.
“Just look at them….” Stiles remarked. “No smoke breaks, no workman’s comp….”
“That’s true but the idea is far more moral than that, right?” Lisa asked.
“Yes. I was just pointing out the practical implications. Of course, this shows that the approval of Chinese cars in the American market shows that we’re on board with an ethical basis. It is the thought of the ability for independent individuals to choose to buy these vehicles.” Stiles straightened his tie.
“Do you wanna take a test ride?”
Loreen and Lisa exchanged glances. “Absolutely!” they exclaimed in unison. The three of them journeyed to the adjacent race track and experimental field. A beautiful red and smoke gray machine awaited their entry. Each of them donned helmets and buckled up. The car came alive. It sensed the weather outside and adjusted the inner temperature. It engaged a massage system for all of them.
“One part I like about this car is that you just say where you want to go, and it goes there. ‘Simon, take one lap around the track.’” The car adhered to the command and rolled with an efficiency even with a purpose that felt light and lively.
“What is the problem, again?” Loreen queried. “This is too much fun.”
“The government is trying to revert and not allow Chinese cars to be made over here.”
Loreen stated, “We can handle that.”
“I know you can.”
