When Loreen and Lisa arrived at the plant, they received instructions to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) gear.

“Hi, Businesswoman and Businessgirl,” Dr. Heather Schriver announced. “Shall we go inside the facility, it looks like we are all suited and booted.”

The orange and purple suits looked like candy against the austere metal and bright white of the machines and tanks.

“This is our problem. Or at least we’ve been told….” Dr. Schriver pointed out. “Inside this vat is a solution that when processed, creates a specific kind of plastic that is durable, flame-resistant, and could be called a ‘forever chemical.’”

“And the environmentalists who don’t care about humans or the environment for that matter, are interfering with production,” Loreen observed.

“Precisely,” Dr. Schriver replied. “Let’s get into my office and out all of this,” she suggested.

Once they had returned the gear to the room after being sterilized, they re-donned business attire and sat in Dr. Schriver’s futuristic office.

“So you got to see first hand a slice of the Chemical Capital of the World in Wilmington, Delaware.”

“Yes,” Lisa said. “Now, we must get those ‘environmentalists’ off your back so you continue to improve the lives of people the world over.”

“Absolutely. You two have the mind power to combat them while we keep going with our progress. These chemicals in these plastics are used in cancer research, home appliances, and even toys. They’re nontoxic, contrary to what those who chain themselves to trees would yelp,” Dr. Schriver explained.

“We can go directly to the base of all their operations. We can speak to them with words of intent that they will be fined and possibly imprisoned if they continue to interrupt your business,” Loreen didn’t promise, but her tone sounded like one.

Dr. Schriver smiled. “Thank you.”
