The steps to the State Senate allowed Loreen and Lisa’s mind to work as if they exercised. When they reached the doors they exhaled and laughed. Then, their demeanor became even more morose than mourners. The security guard checked their bags and let them keep their belongings. When they found the office of Mather Dale the office assistant had already let him know they had been en route. Dale rose to his feet.
“It’s a pleasure as always, Loreen. And of course Miss Conway, please have a seat.”
“You know I don’t have a substantial place in politics, but we have to always be on the lookout for when the government of this state runs amok,” Loreen reminded her friend.
“That’s why I brought you both here. You know I’m for free markets. They’re gifts from God. I know you’re an atheist, though.” He turned to Lisa. “And you?”
“I’m a non-believer, sir,” Lisa stated with a quiet power.
“Well, that non withstanding, I brought you both here to talk about policy. Delaware wants to get rid of the law against consumption tax and increase income taxes by three percent.”
“I still hold there should be no income taxes and only a consumption tax,” Loreen crossed her legs and folded her hands in her lap. It was like an earned empress had just shifted in her seat but also the senator’s mind.
“I feared you’d say that. I’ve been fighting for that for fifteen years. No avail.”
“Keep fighting,” Lisa blurted out. “Keep going with that same ides and see if things don’t change,” Lisa mentioned. A smile curled around Loreen’s face.
“You sure know how to pick ‘em,” Dale remarked.
“I do. If you need any assistance, I’ve sent you a message to encourage you to….”
“See it through.”

Your story sound like a playbook of certain people in our society that could sit down in a coffee shop and converse over no taxes and leak classified texts via unsecured phone lines. This is a well written chapter that displays certain people in vogue today. However, i totally disagree with the corporate scheme of walking over the poor and throwing them in a ditch. On a soapbox today. You are brilliant
