Businesswoman Chapter 89
Wilmington Bankers

Smells of fresh cut grass and hot dogs wafted through the air. After the first pitch, the seats vibrated with the resounding applause and cheers. Loreen and Lisa found themselves n a luxury box with team owner of the Wilmington Bankers, Josephus Timms.
“So, ladies, you like what you see?” He extended his glass of champagne.
The ladies lfited their glasses. They all sipped.
“This’ll be the last season,” he finally admitted.
“Isn’t this the first sesson?” Lisa asked.
“It is. But with all the regulations and controls present, I mean the zoning laws alone have put me in a spot where I can hardly pay athletes. This is minor league baseball, so most of these guys have other gigs off season,” Timms lamented.
“We can set up various financial tools to ensure that we stay within the law but still bypasss the regulations,” Loreen explained.
“Oh?” he said, sipping some more.
“We have in place the documents which will allow you to own your team and everyone will profit,” Lisa added.
Timms sighed. I just wanted a ball team. I played for nine years in the majors. I knew I couldn’t afford one of those franchises, but I wanted to return home. I had used my earnings to be a minor owner, I own the team outright and the government wants to stop all of that.” He sipped more but then turned into a gulp.
“Can I top anyone off?” I asked politely.
The ladies shook their heads and mentioned, “No.”
Timms poued himself another glass.
“You do know we specialize in getting rid of controls, no matter how tough it is, right?”
He nodded. That’s why I brought you here.”
“So let us do the work and you’ll see the results in your favor,” Lortain anounced.
“That’s great.”
