Living on the Wild Side
Living on Land and in Trees Aye-Ayes have large eyes and are rare lemurs native to Madagascar. They are the largest nocturnal primates in the world. These creatures have rodent-like teeth that grow perpetually. They have special middle fingers that are long and thin. These fingers are needed for their unusual feeding ritual known as “percussive foraging”. The aye-ayes tap on trees to locate grubs, chew a hole into the wood, and with their long middle fingers pull the grubs out.

A Musical Journey through My Life
The world was smiling on a Friday in March 1957 when I came into this world. Somewhere on the radio, Elvis was singing “All Shook Up” and my parents felt the same way. With a battle cry, I had come into this world. Elvis played a part in our family when I was a toddler. I was fascinated with watching this man on TV and the moves he was making. Dad saw his daughter was not paying him any attention and he made me laugh when he imitated Elvis.

Queen of Hearts
This is part of my little series of songs written about the feminine gender. It began with songs with the word girl in the title, then songs with the word woman in the title, you'll find the links below. Now the last in the series are songs with the word queen in the title. Some lucky women do have their partners put them on pedestals and consider them to be their queens.

Traveling in Benin
Benin is a French-speaking country in West Africa. It is a fascinating place and is the birthplace of the vodun or “voodoo” religion. It’s also home to the former Dahomey Kingdom dating from 1600 – 1900. Even though it is a small country it does have a few large cities and beckons tourists to explore its impressive architecture, museums, and markets. A trip here will bring you many adventures, a look at amazing wildlife, and relaxing on great beaches.
