Absent... . Content Warning.
To those who have been following me, I apologize for my absence lately, and dwindling activity. Truth be told, the last few months have been filled with much struggle, which has resulted in me withdrawing into silence for the most part. Legal troubles due to piling up bill caused by health issues and financial struggles as prices of everything skyrocket has made surviving more than a struggle. The ridiculously high prices of my medications for my health issues and fighting with insurance for coverage of them has resulted in me being without some of them as I continue to navigate the stupid hoops they put in place on healthcare needs. And, most recently, I had to make the very difficult and heartbreaking decision to put one of my fur babies down due to unresolvable health issues that would continue to cause him pain and anguish.

Dear Universe, I am over this toxic reality where pain is inevitable and hatred reigns supreme. As an empath it is just too much to endure, feeling the emotion and energy from all around unbearable with this level of cruelty and stupidity. I resign from shouldering everything that you keep piling on my shoulders. You can take this bullshit, twisted reality show version of reality and fuck right off with it! I am done! It hurts too much to keep feeling it all, to keep seeing it all! My heart is aching from the unending trauma you have put me through since childhood and instead of giving me a fucking break, you shove fucking hot pokers into the scars.

How Gen X Redefined Traditional Norms.... Top Story - May 2025. Content Warning.
Gen X is often portrayed as the generation that raised themselves and there is a reason for this. Gen X'ers were raised by the Silent Generation and Boomers, which those older generations were generally very set in their ways and opinions. They had a hard life, living through wars and massive changes on a global scale. Religion was still a priority but the time for church became something that was not as pressured on the Gen X kids as by these generations. Silent Gen and Boomers were often busy working, especially as technology began to rapidly advance and the cost of living rose just as quickly. The older generations also were not accustomed to the mindset of there being much to "worry" about when it came to letting "kids be kids", because they were raised with the mindset to work, and work meant supporting your family - even if it kept you from them often.
