I sat there for several moments trying to process everything that Aunt Mina had said. A curse put on the family by my Aunt Renee? This "shadow" that would try to drag my mom under the bed? It definitely sounded like something that could be induced by too much drinking. Maybe Aunt Mina was right? Maybe it was just my mom freaking out over old memories and hallucinations brought on by drinking too much? But... when mom was screaming and freaking out at me... she was sober. She hadn't drank any alcohol that night before bed... something was not adding up.

The Apple (iPad) of Discord. Content Warning.
It was intended to be a day of glorious celebration on Mount Pelion as the great hero and king of Phthia, Peleus, was to wed the beautiful Goddess, Thetis. Many of the Gods and Goddesses were in attendance to watch the beautiful union of Peleus and Thetis, many mortals were also in attendance, which made this event even more unique and special. The wedding was perfect and went off without a hitch... but the reception brought an unexpected... issue... that no one expected. Thetis had purposely disinvited the Eris, the Goddess of Discord. This was because Thetis never forgave Eris for turning her first love into a fish after a disagreement many moons ago.

As I entered my mom's bedroom, it was dark and hard to see with her dark blinds up keeping the light out from the windows. I tried to turn her light on but it wasn't working, so I turned my phone flashlight on and shined it towards the bed. I saw my mom laying there with her eyes wide open, fear in her eyes as she looked straight ahead above her, her body was stiff as a board like she couldn't move.

When we are children everything seems to have a conspiracy or scary story around it. We make up stories of the things that go bump in the night. We have such a naïve side that we often believe the stories we tell, exaggerating them more each time they are shared with our friends. Sometimes we make up stories based on bits and pieces that we hear the adults around us talking about, and other times we take actions based on those bits and pieces, not realizing what a mistake that can be.

Is Ripple (XRP) Set to Break All Time High?
