The Unseen

Unrequited...

I am invisible.

The desperation in my eyes.

I am disposable.

The deafening silence of my cries.

I am broken.

The love I gave... and gave... and gave.

Yet, my words unspoken.

They will be carried with me to the grave.

I have no right to expect.

It was my choice to love... to feel...

Some hearts are not meant to be kept.

Some things are not meant to be... real.

My heart continues to break.

Still, no regrets, despite the pain.

Love is a choice, not a mistake.

All I gave was not in vain.

I'll never let you see.

I am invisible.

Forever hiding me.

I am disposable.

And you are... free.
