I wrote this while feeling frustration and anger over the current state of society. I have never understood the determination of some to try to force their beliefs and opinions on others, while still claiming they support freedom and equality. I have studied several religions through my life before finding that Wicca vibes best with my personal opinions and views. Empathy has always been a very strong aspect of my inner self and something I was grateful to been so connected with.

The Day Freedom Died. Content Warning.
America, land of the free, has fallen... it is no more. I never thought I would see the day this truly happened in the country I've proudly called my home since birth. The country my ancestors, elders, grandfathers, father, and uncles fought for. The country my partner fought for. The country I always praised and cherished... the country that taught me what freedom looked like. Now... I watch it perish under a regime of tyranny and evil that masquerades under the guise of religion and doing "God's" work. These are the moments that continue to reshape me... that redefine me just when I thought that I had reached my final state of definition. But the transformations are not always for the better... this particular time of change has me conflicted and tormented with guilt and disgust.

My dad spoke the words that my mom was already thinking at that same moment because that location puts us on the mainland and not in an empty area of the mainland either. When I opened my eyes, I saw the look on both of my parents' faces as I realized why my dad said it was going to be a problem as he laid the map out on the table and marked where we were currently. We were several days away from the location and would be traveling in highly monitored waters to get there.

When the Governments of the world came out of their secured bunkers, they revealed their “One Nation, One Power” form of Government system. Those in Government offices and roles when 'The OB's' arrived would each have an equal position of power in this new Government system, it would combine all the countries into “One”, despite the distances between the countries, it would not change them running as one machine. This new “One Nation, One Power” system recruited a lot of former military persons and also a lot of the factions to be their “enforcement” for implementing and regaining control of each region of the world.
