The smile shines brightly on their face.

The laughter echoes loudly right on pace.

They put on a show.

Hiding is all they know.

So much behind their eyes.

So many painful lies.

"I'm fine"

Their favorite line.

No one ever really sees.

No one hears their silent pleas.

They deserve rights like you.

Freedom and equality too.

Out in the open without fears.

Real smiles, not just masking tears.

Who they identify as does not define their morality.

Your hatred shows that you lack humanity.

Religion teaches one to be kind, to care.

Not to cause others sadness and despair.

To judge a life or choice you can't comprehend

does not make your actions right in the end.

Empathy, compassion and love is the key.

Why is that so hard for others to see?

Written for those who cannot live their true lives out of fear, judgement and hate... for anyone who has ever felt they were an outsider.
