US Capital History Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire
Capital Almost Named Lancaster Lincoln is the capital and second largest city in Nebraska located in the southeastern part of the state. In the 1850s settlers were drawn to the area by the salt flats. The site was named after Lancaster, a Pennsylvania city by a salt company representative in 1856.

Europe France Moules a la mariniere is a classic French dish. It is prepared with mussels cooked in cider or wine-based sauce. Other ingredients include shallots, garlic, and herbs like parsley, thyme, and bay leaves. Fresh mussels are added to the mixture and steamed until they open up.

US Capital History Mississippi, Missouri, and Montana
Named for General Andrew Jackson The area where the city of Jackson, Mississippi is today was originally part of the Choctaw Nation. When the U.S. Government insisted the Choctaw Native Americans agreed to leave all the lands east of the Mississippi River. Today the Choctaws are part of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians who live on several Indian communities located throughout the state.

European Animals Lithuania and Luxembourg
Wildlife of Lithuania Lithuania is a European country that is located in the northeastern part of the continent, next to the Baltic Sea. It is one of the Baltic States with the other two being Estonia and Latvia. The country is bordered by Poland, Latvia, and Belarus. Its forests, wetlands, meadows, and fields are home to 45 mammal species, 9 reptile species, 13 amphibian species, 50 fish species, and 392 bird species.
