Day 26 of My 40 Day Fast: Relinquish Subservience to the Taste Bud Overlords
Our taste bud overlords seem to have shaped society. Food is everywhere, and that’s made it easy to succumb to our taste buds rather than eat according to our body’s needs. Food is, first and foremost, fuel for the body.

Day 25 of My 40 Day Fast: Will We Get above the Plastic Problem?
Hair care products, beauty and skin care products, cleaning detergents, toilet paper, most foods on grocery shelves, to-go food and beverages, etc., are all packaged in plastic. Society has developed a reliance on plastic.

Day 24 of My 40 Day Fast: Religion Divides People of God and That Is What the Devil Wants
I have been on a spiritual ride for several years. It began as a healing journey to bring my body back to health from a severe gut disease. I soon realized that a healthy body requires more than a healthy diet. Healing is a lifestyle. I incorporated a daily meditation practice into my life, among other lifestyle changes, and I reached out to God for guidance in healing. Over the years my relationship strengthened with God, who is the only one who truly knows all that I've endured.

Day 22 of My 40 Day Fast: Sexual Orientation Begins in the Womb
Twenty one days was the longest fast I’d done. Now that I’ve entered day 22, I have ventured into uncharted territory. It will be interesting to see what happens with my body from here. I’m waiting for the sour taste on my tongue to clear out. I glide my toothbrush gently over my tongue throughout the day to get rid of it. I read that when it goes away it’s an indication that autophagy has completed. You can read why I’m fasting by clicking on the story below.

Day 21 of My 40 Day Fast: Women Can Remove Disease From the Bloodline
I was diagnosed with a Ulcerative Proctitis in 2016. I am not a doctor and was clueless about health and how the body worked. I found my gastroenterologist of little help, and was forced to do my own research. I quickly learned I was faced with losing part or all of my colon.

Day 19 of My 40 Day Fast: Spirituality and Meat
To understand the spiritual reason behind not eating meat one must have an understanding of the body’s digestive system. The brain is connected to the digestive system through many channels, so much so that the gut has been referred to as the second brain. One of the primary functions of the body is to digest food. The digestive system is the majority of our body. When the body is digesting food a lot of resources are used to break it down and absorb its nutrients. The brain focuses on digestion to the extent that when one feels a strong negative emotion, the brain halts the digestive system. Our emotions can disrupt the digestive process.

Day 18 of My 40 Day Fast: The Sexual Revolution Is Out of Control
It’s hard not to think about sex when it’s everywhere. The sex scenes in the shows we watch have evolved into soft-core porn. Images of scantly clad people are on magazine covers and billboards to sell products. Sex is in the music playing on the airwaves, in our headphones, and in music videos.

Day 14 of My 40 Day Fast: How’s Y’all’s Twin Flame Situationships?
When I first came across the term twin flame I was going through a difficult time. My health was in decline, and I got dumped. Tarot videos began to pop up on my Youtube feed. One of the titles caught my eye, so I clicked on it. Pretty soon I became obsessed with tarot videos. The term twin flame was used a lot, and I developed a basic understanding of what that was.
