Autumnâs Farewell
Frosty limbs outstretched hands of red, gold and saffron float down to stroke earth. * Falling Leaves Challenge Inspired by memories of my Dad excitedly dragging me outside â on a frosty morning â to appreciate the autumn foliage on his Maple tree. Pharaohâs Vizier. Top Story - August 2025.
âLook at him, would you? Heâs sure got it made! Everything served up on a golden platterâŠâ Judahâs gaze followed the direction of the dusty arm next to him. Impressive! Their focus centred on a man exuding power, position, prestige. Clean shaven, chiselled featured, clad in court dress of the finest pristine linen. Pharaohâs distinctive signet ring winked on the hand gripping an exquisitely ornate silver goblet. A heavy gold chain hung from his neck. âAbsolute Powerâ personified!

Not my wake. Top Story - August 2025.
A lone Kookaburraâs raucous laugh splits the silent dawn. Soon, itâs solo performance swells to a trio, then a quartet. Birdsong rings from all sides of the stand of eucalyptus trees. Natureâs alarm clock at its best! Blinking away the last vestiges of sleep, I readily relinquish my grip on my weirdly recurring dream. Everyone had been panicking over an asteroid heading straight for earth. How bizarre! Such a random disaster to conjure up in my dreams nightmares.
