Ten Things You Appreciate About Yourself

By Rick Henry Christopher Published 9 months ago Updated 9 months ago 3 min read

Greetings Vocalites!!! 👋🏻👋👋🏽👋🏿

It’s been a while since I last put together an unofficial Vocal challenge. It is with pleasure I announce The Self-Appreciation Challenge.

In a nutshell the goal of this challenge is to write about Ten Things You Appreciate About Yourself.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

It can be anything from the sublime, humorous, embarrassing, or intellectual. Accomplishments, personality traits, physical abilities, and so forth.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

This will be a fun way to let the Vocal community know more about YOU and give you yet another opportunity to stretch your creative writing abilities.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

There will be three prizes!!!

🥇First Prize will receive a $50 tip

🥈Second Prize a $30 tip

🥉Third Prize a $20 tip

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

How will the winners be determined?

I have assembled a panel of four judges. We will read each entry and judge the entries in the four areas as follows:

  1. Originality/Uniqueness/Creativity
  2. Well-Structured and Engaging Content
  3. Adherence to Theme/Prompt
  4. Proofreading/Grammar/Punctuation/Structure
  5. We will grade on a 1 to 10 scale with one being a low score and ten being the high score.

Each judge will have the opportunity to give their favorite story an additional 3 points.

The maximum amount of points any story can receive from one judge is 43. With a cumulative maximum of 172 points.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

The word limit is 600 to 800 words

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Your entries should be published in the Humans community here on Vocal.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Please add a link back to this challenge in your entry.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

This challenge will run from Thursday April 24th through Thursday May 15th. The results will be posted on Thursday June 12th.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Please leave the link to your entries in the comments section of this announcement.

🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

AI generated content will not be accepted.
