9/11 Remembered: Debi & Sandra
As the the 24 year anniversary of the September 11th attacks approaches I wanted to get the perspectives of those who were effected, whether that be directly or indirectly by interviewing them. In this interview I spoke with Debi Saunet who lost her cousin Sandra Taylor in the attack on the Pentagon that morning.

Deviltry
Dad met me at the door, wearing a slightly dorky wizard’s robe. With a sparkly pointed hat, no less. When I got inside, I saw the living room curtains were closed. And Mom and her coven had rolled up the carpets, chalked the circle, and lit the candles.

Social Anxiety and the pain it inflicts. But also the victory when you overcome… . Content Warning.
I was certain that every encounter would lead to bullying. These strangers all had a plan, and they would turn their backs on me. I would be burnt like sienna if they rejected me. I would never leave the house again because of it, my body and mind would be like an open wound.

How I Accidentally Became a Poet
I have always been a storyteller. I won’t bother you with all of the anecdotes, just one: I am eight, and I don’t know how to pen the complex words for my tale about a lost girl and her pirates. During class, my daydreams are occupied with memorizing the next scene. After school, I wait, not so patiently, for my mother to come home. Then, like an orator in a great hall, I stand beside her bed and recite the fictional unfoldings. She scribes them with a swift and loyal hand. Together, we revel in the newest imaginings, manifested, and she teaches me how to read cursive. It is like this for a year, maybe less, at least until I can string together a complete sentence and have become familiar with our second-hand thesaurus.

The True Us Versus Them in the United States
The Truth and the Point Laid Out Here is the truth that everyone in the United States seems to have forgotten. To my dear Republicans, Democrats are not the only corrupt people in the world of politics. Yes, they are the most corrupt at the moment, but they are certainly not the only ones. Corruption exists on every side of the government. To my dear Democrats… get your shit together and wake up to reality and the evil that is taking place. It is no longer the Democrat party in action and belief. The Democrat party has become the American Communists Party. Very tragic.

um, Hi
July 3, 2022 The Sun and the Moon House, Beacon Hill, Seattle um, Hi Woke up, made coffee & breakfast, meditated. Sat on the porch w/ Al. It’s cold today — not really but overcast & windy. The few hot days spoiled us — I miss them already. “I like to appear busy online.” Who is watching us? Anyone could be, that’s the thrill. Offering, giving something up. I’ve started getting TikToks about romantic obsession on my fyp. Not too rare, I suppose. Most people are obsessed with something.

#1 The Lunch Lady Blues... 💙🩵💙
Lancelot "Lucky" Cornellion slowly walked from his third-period civics class toward the lunchroom. He wondered what was on the Tuesday lunch menu. He hoped that it was lasagna. Lasagna always reminded him of fun-filled slip-n-slide kickball summers in Delaware with his grammie Mae, grandpa Donnie & cousin Nitoe.
