Reality took a coffee break—and the ordinary went off the rails. In this challenge, we asked you to transform everyday moments into wild, wonderfully absurd adventures. Life, Death and Onions
The familiar blend of Victorian and modern architecture shifts my thoughts between past and present. Craning up at the glass tower where my wife lies in pain and uncertainty, I wonder what might come next in this continuing period drama. As I enter, the warm disinfectant air hits my nostrils and I drift back twenty years. My very first day as a hospital Porter …

Party Foul
“Who is this person again?” I calmly asked as I adjusted my unruly boxers for the twentieth time. “A friend from college, I told you, a sorority sister. We went to their wedding, remember? The one in Italy?” Of course, how could I forget? Star-crossed lovers from the Midwest opted out of a thirty-minute drive to their local church so they could force three hundred people to buy a 1500-dollar plane ticket, yeah I remember. “And Jason remember, her husband, you and him hit it off?” We in fact did not hit it off. Ghost Writer
Over my dead body would I stay here again Date of travel: 29 October – 1 November 2024 I’ll cut to the chase – your house isn’t haunted. Yes, it sent shivers down my spine, but I’ll attribute that to the woefully inadequate central heating system rather than any ghostly goings-on. I still can’t believe I let myself be tricked – hoodwinked by your website listing. I’m so furious, I’m spitting literal feathers.

Grim Reaper, Is That You?. Content Warning.
“That should teach her a lesson!” Paolo grinned as he admired the threat he had sent. “Teach who a lesson?” Paolo screamed like a little girl as he fell off his chair. He looked up and there It was, looming over him, waiting for an answer.

Skeletons
It was a big night for Jane Echols, as she stepped up to the podium and addressed a huge crowd, mainly consisting of women. This was something near and dear to Jane, as she was speaking at her very creation: a huge foundation for survivors of domestic abuse. Her speech, for the most part, was the same one she always gave; consisting of inspiring words and also mentioning the motivation behind her foundation: her daughter, Bridget.
