Welcome to our weekly Leaderboard update! We're delighted to highlight Vocal's most popular stories and emerging talents. Join us as we recognize this week's standout contributors and their remarkable achievements.
A reminder of some ground rules we use to formulate the Leaderboard:
The time period of data analyzed for each weekly Leaderboard is collected from 12:00am Wednesday - 11:59pm Tuesday ET each week. Creators can only win one place in one category on the leaderboard. Creators cannot win the same category two consecutive weeks. Creators will win the category that they placed the highest in. However, if the category they placed the highest in is the category they won the previous week, and they placed in another category in a lower place, they will win the category that they did not place in the previous week, in the lower place.

I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. He looked so happy as he said, "Yes!"

Once again a phenomenal list of creators who deserve congratulations, but I honestly do keep seeing a name on these Leaderboards that concerns me. This might be an unpopular opinion but I think the Most Supportive Commenters and Most Subscribed To Creators categories can be incentives for AI users just as much as the Emerging Creators category was. I think until AI use in comments and stories can be monitored better those two categories should be suspended. I hate to say it because almost all the Creators who get them are great members of the community, but too often there's a bad egg in the mix. Maybe some of that saved money could be used to increase some Runner-Up Challenge prizes and give a monetary prize to Honorable Mentions. At least to me that seems like a better way to award the platform's prize money.
