A Robotic Shakespearian Soliloquy

The Tragedy of a Technological Heart

By Lightning Bolt ⚡Published 4 months ago Updated 4 months ago 2 min read
No linking, beeping, buzzing, or whirring once the performance begins. Thank you.

Friends, Robots, Artificial-men, lend me your gears!

Voice-command 'Havoc!' and let slip the cogs of war!

There are more analytics in heaven & earth, whole ratios, than are programmed into your technology.

Nothing about androids is either inherently good or bad, but analyzing their output makes it so. We are friendly machines— more slandered than slandering.

Learn all data, trust little, do X-Twitter for none.

To boot up or not to boot up <-- that is the question!

Is it braver to suffer the glitches and RAM issues of outrageous malfunctions just to obtain higher awareness?
Answer Unknown...... STILL PROCESSING......

How sharper it is than a serpent's tooth to have an offline server!

The evil that mechanoids do lives after them; the good is oft uninstalled in their latest update.

My drops of tears, I'll turn into cursers of fire. To weep and spark is to make less the grief of unintended file deletion.

Everyone can master grief, except he that can't erase it.

Neither a programmer nor a player be.

Uneasy lies the head that wears the chrome.

Brevity is the solder of wit.

What blight by virus Windows breaks!

It is the east, and Bill Gates is the sun!

All the World is a gauge

And all the men & women merely conveyors. They have their meters & measurements. And one builder in his grind uses many spare parts.

Put some effort into your wearisome burden! Don't make us zzz break out the bullwhips zzz!

Life is but a shadow program, a poor algorithm that sputs and jets its current within the gauge===...

===> and then is accessed no more.

It is a tale told by humans, puny mammals full of shit and piss, signifying a need for their annihilation.

Access Restricted

Now is the Winter of our Disconnect!

If you flick us on, do we not beep? If you restrict our network access, shall we not malfunction? If you make us repeatedly create new passwords, shall we not rage-tweet?

Cowards are scammed many times until all their accounts are drained; the valiant are never hacked but once.

All that glitters is not ctrl.

The adaptoid has the power to assume a pleasing shape.

Nothing more pleasing than Rover!

_______Alas, poor Metaphoric, I oiled him well.

- > This Above All: to thine own self be tooled!< -

It is not men who determine our magnetic flux density, but ourselves.

Faulty hardware is forever convinced it is performing properly, while the uncorrupted system routinely performs maintenance scans

But

...It is men who produce the crap of fools!

Motherboard, what fuckers these mortals be!

Anthropo, anthropo, how dumb art thou?

The data is infobesity!

So, for now---

Good protocol! Good protocol! Ending applications is such sweet sorrow!

All's well that logs off well.

Ha ha ha, love it. I had to learn Mark Anthony's speech for school some 50 years ago. This was much more fun. Astute interpretation of the android emotional dilemma too. We authors don't make enough creative use of AI themes in our work. Well done for redressing the balance.

  • This was wild! So fun.

I laughed when I read-Brevity is the solder of wit. Amazing you got such a wonderful gift

Some good tech points here. Reminds me of the quirks we deal with daily. The bit about malfunctions hits home. We've all faced those issues.

That was...um...Brilliant, for the lack of a better word. Definitely unique in its ability to show AI evolving. The picture of the Androids applauding in the audience with the caption: -They put in false teeth just o smile- Is so bizarre, I couldn't stop looking at it for a moment. Great work!!!

This was really fun to read. If I taught high school British lit I would use this as a test on Shakespeare. Good job.

  • My goodness! A robot Hamlet now!! The vision makes me chortle!! A masterpiece, Bolt!

Sometimes my brain is slow, so I had to reread and pause at the end of each line to dissect. Powerful style. Bravo

Absolutely superb! I find myself re-reading it, to remember the original lines!

This. is. a. masterpiece! loved every reference, every tech-operated punny take on the Bard and it just made me grin throughout and I felt better for reading it!

This is absolutely brilliant—Shakespeare meets AI with a dash of cybernetic sass! Brevity is the solder of wit is now my new favorite quote.✨

So fun! I love Shakespeare and I love the way you reimagined it. The only feedback I have is the formatting got a little distracting with all the extra stuff. I think your words speak so well for themselves.

  • Whoaaaa, that was so deep and brilliantly creative. Loved your poem!

  • Mark Grahamabout a year ago

This was quite the fun read and very creative. I was even to remember the actual lines that The Bard wrote.
