In my mind, my year is split into three distinct chunks. The first bit of the year was consumed with putting together my first full-length ballet. The hours I spent finding the perfect music, listening to everything on repeat, shaped my first four months of 2024. A combination of classical and worship music, it helped lift my spirits during the end of our cold Alaskan winter.

Creation: A Ballet. Runner-Up in Echoes of the Year’s Lessons Challenge.
I have been dancing for 16 years. Ballet was an accidental passion, a fluke of an interest really. My mom signed me up without warning when I was 11 and I was not super happy at first. I had to wear pink! But I quickly fell in love with the hard work and dedication the art requires. I trained at an incredible faith-based studio in Fairbanks, Alaska; Miss Rebecca's Ballet Praise.

It's Not Christmas Until...
I am, admittedly, a bit of a scrooge about Christmas. I like celebrating my holidays one-by-one is all. Christmas music at Halloween is so annoying and I really dislike seeing the decorations everywhere at Thanksgiving. I really don't hate Christmas, I just like it in it's place. I grew up in North Pole, Alaska, and I got a little jaded seeing candy cane light poles and a giant statue of Santa every day. That's a real thing, you can google it.
