The New Female Inspiration
There’re women you look up to, and then women you want to be. And sometimes these women are one and the same. As a young girl, I was always looking toward the women in my life, always trying to figure out how they achieved what they did. How they managed to look so put together amongst the chaos. I would push my hair into a messy pony tail and wonder why they were prettier than I was. Wonder how they smothered that makeup on their cheeks and made me feel inferior. How I couldn’t manage to create that line on my lid no matter how hard I tried. I would put these women on a pedestal, high above me, untouchable.

No One Tells Us Just How Painful Certain Phases Of Our Lives Will Be
There are periods of life that feel horrible. I think most of us at some point go through at least one period like this. This can ring true the older we get and the more situations and people we encounter. As much as we try to discard the emotions and pretend they aren’t there, they roar with a furry and distort our life outlook. We think we are tougher than what life is throwing at us, but we succumb to the pain.

I 4got How 2 Breathe
It has been half-a-century and you’d have thought by now I knew how to do this shit! I mean, seriously people, don’t agree that by the age of 50 you should have a TON of common sense shit figured out, right? That’s what I thought until this very moment as I sit here and type this to you on the third day of March of the year 2020, I forgot how to BREATHE…………….

Girl it's time for YOU!
It's not selfish, it's called self care. At some point in your life you've heard the infamous saying "you can't help others unless you are ok first." or when you get on a plane and the flight attendants say "please put on your mask first before helping others around you.". Both of these sayings speak to the idea that if you are in a bad place or struggling you don't have the capacity to help others around you. A valid point? Sure, but what happens when it's just day to day life? When as moms you're juggling kids and a household? or When as a single woman just working on her career? or When it's just a simple day running errands, working out and cleaning? What happens then when you feel yourself start to burn out or max out and it's nothing extraordinary but the simple chaos of everyday life? No one tells you those sayings in the middle of the "norm" and the saddest part is that is when we start to forget to take care of ourselves the most. That is why right now in this moment I am here to give you a reminder that YOU matter and YOU deserve a breath of air and a moment to yourself to keep going through the "norm".

I'm not on the Clearance Rack
The dictionary defines Self worth as the sense of one's own value or worth as a person; self-esteem; self-respect. So it makes sense that our choices when choosing a mate will be directly connected to self worth. For example, have you ever been in a bad relationship, then afterwards asked yourself, "What was i thinking"?! Ever wonder why you keep attracting the same type of individual? Different face, but same characteristics? Knowing deep inside, your settling for far less than what you deserve? Truth is, the relationships we chose are very often are a direct reflection of how we feel about ourselves. If we believe we unworthy of love, we will choose a mate that will support that. Although it can manifest itself in many different ways, here i will address three ways in which low self worth will have you choosing from the bottom of the barrel.

Am I Good Enough?
This is the first time I've ever written anything so personal that will be made public in this way. So, lets dive right in I guess. For as long as I can remember I've had issues seeing value in myself. Whether it was how I looked or my personality it has been hard for me to be comfortable with who I am.

Hey Gurll... Let's Build Confidence together!
"Hey gurll, my name is Kriss Jordan, what's yours?" To first help others build confidence, I had to realise that I had to have some sort of confidence myself. This was the first step I took to figuring out my path on how I can help my gurlls out. After this, I had a very real but at the same time SO unreal cinematic, movie like flash back moment of all the unhappy situations I had gone through in my life, that actually made me more confident and boy was that a sad time for me (emoji sad, one tear crying face).

How Creating a Morning Routine Can Increase Productivity - And Wellbeing
What do your mornings look like? Perhaps you're the kind of person that jumps out of bed at 5AM, heads to the gym at your apartment complex and gets your sweat on, to then head back to your home and prepare a healthy meal to eat for breakfast. You might listen to a personal development podcast or motivational audiobook while you complete your morning tasks before getting dressed and heading out the door for a productive day at work.

MindoverMatter
Mind over matter is such an interesting phrase because not only does it reflect our current societal standards of how one is expected to achieve success, it also is usually used in the context of how one solves a problem they are experiencing. Oxford Dictionary defines the phrase as "the use of willpower to overcome physical problems." So what the fuck is will power and where do I get it? I have a lot of physical problems including my mind, so how does one use will power to overcome their own mind? Apparently the mind and willpower are one in the same according to Oxford dictionary as well as the general population that says things like "the poor are lazy."
