Dear Leos: 5 Things You Are
Most people think that Leos are like open books until they start to read between the lines. Every Leo is understood and misunderstood in equal parts. To some, we come across as invincible because we (rightly or wrongly) believe that people need us to be strong. But in every Leo, there lives a child that wants to be loved and free.

Stop letting others choose your destination!!!
When I was in my mid-20's, I was barely making it raising 3 children with little to no financial help from their father. I was on public assistance and I remember when I had to add water to the laundry detergent and milk to make it last another week. Not to mention the numerous nights I went to bed hungry so they could eat. Luckily, I was able to get a few minimum wage jobs here and there before and during earning my degrees.

All Things Self-Worth
Self-Love and Self-Esteem is something that people tend to brush to the side when its something that should be worked on and focused on on a daily basis. People spend their time valuing themself based on the value given to them by everyone else, but your quality of life and your happiness is based on how feel about yourself. I've learned that how you treat yourself and how you allow others to treat you is based on your Self-Esteem. When you love yourself, it shows in your actions and in your thoughts, but it takes time to get to that point and its a battle that you will be fighting for the rest of your life. As time passes by it will get easier to fight, but it is something that you have to work to maintain or else life (bad days, bad friends, bad experiences) will try to drag it down. Keeping up your self esteem up is based on different things, like mindeset (thoughts and beliefs about yourself), influence (friends and relationships) and actions (how you treat yourself).

21 Jobs that Made Me Money, and 3 Takeaways for Graduates Entering the Workforce
How you make money is more important than how much money you make. As a career counselor and executive coach, I find people get fixated on one aspect of their story—their specific passion or unique strengths or educational background or prior experience or life goals. Then comes the question: What should I do? (I never answer that question for another person.)

The Power of Words
Did you know that words are very powerful. They can either build up or tear down. Words are alive, they are active, and can be as sharp as a sword. It is important that we watch our words. Over the years I have met many people. Who have been held captive by someone’s words. People do not realise that sometimes they even curse themselves. When you say I am sick, depressed, angry et cetera you’re actually bring these things upon yourself. You are owning it. Not only is it important that we watch our words, but that we do not accept negative words , spoken over us. It can be so easily done. I have seen too many people crushed, by something that was said about them. There’s an old ,saying sticks and stones ,will break my bones, but names will never hurt me.That is a lie. People will heal from broken bones, in a matter of weeks. But people can live a life time, with things that have been said to them, at sometime in their life.

Navigating Capricornhood
I still enjoy a little internal laugh when I think of the night my best friend, who was also newly my boyfriend, read my star signs. But before that, we, of course, had to read about our match. Him a Pisces and me a Capricorn, The book praised the give and take of artistic Pisces living in a fluid dreamy world and stoic, on edge mountain climbing Capricorn. The connection was said to be strong with a fluid balance. We got married only a couple of weeks later; I guess you could say he's my fish.

Don't Make The Same Mistakes I Did...
A couple of months ago I was at my lowest point in life, I was lost, Falling in a downward spiral with the uncertainty of life ever going back to normal giving me no ground to land on. However one day I decided to give up on hope… Give up on waiting for life to go back to normal… Give up for even the want for solid ground to land on and build up on… But it was in that hopelessness, It was in that presence where I found myself thinking “What if I did this one thing, Took this one step…”. Before I knew it I decided to take another and another till I found I wasn’t falling, I was precariously caught on a branch aside the hole, Above the bottomless pit I had been falling down. Even though I wasn’t falling anymore I was still struggling with the uncertainties, depression, and self hate I had been. It didn’t miraculously go away as portrayed in the many movies and shows we consume in our daily lives. Life is vastly complex, unable to be summarized in an hour and a half long movie or 45 minute episode series. But even though those thoughts and feelings didn’t change and actually got worse, I decided to take another step, And as it got worse I continued to step, And sometimes I would trip and fall but I always found it in myself to get back up…

Life as a lesson
What if you had the chance to be something you'd always wanted to be? Would you take the opportunity to do something you always knew you'd be able to do? Or would you just let the opportunity pass you like the rest of life seems to be doing? What if I told you, you could be anything that you wanted to be? What if I told you all you had to do was, have faith in yourself? Well, that is all you have to do. Even if you have nothing right now, or you feel as though you have nothing right now. I would like you to imagine if you will. A black book, where you write down all of the characteristics you'd like yourself to have, and every day put aside an allotted amount of time. To embody those characteristics, it doesn't have to be in front of people.

Nostalgia, Ultra.
If 2020 didn't teach us anything else, it was how to stay comfortable, even when things were very uncomfortable in the world around us. I know a couple of friends and family who became infatuated with the whole idea that breathing in normal fashion felt like a crime. During that time period, I learned a very valuable lesson. Nostalgia Matters! Your favorite movies, tv shows and coming of age movies.

My Life with Resilience
To say I have demonstrated resilience is simply a statement. It’s all the contributing factors, the situations, and the actions I have chosen to really make that statement true. What is resilience? Why is it something someone wishes to demonstrate? Resilience is defined as something that is elastic or able to regain its original shape and form. It is also defined as having the capacity to recover from difficulties quickly or being “tough”. A person who demonstrates resilience is someone who has a lot to be proud of. We prove that life will throws curveballs at us, but nothing can stop us from playing the game. I would like to believe that I have the privilege of saying I demonstrated resilience this past year, and in the continuing paragraphs I would like to explain how.
