Intuitive Eating
Let me tell you a story that happened mid last year. This particularFriday was my last day at my old office. I went in early as I usually do – I can get more done with no one to distract me. Unfortunately, not being used to working (hello 4 1/2 months of not working at the office) was disorganized and neglected to eat anything for breakfast and forgot to pack any food for a snack. When the time approached the opening of the local drugstore, I head there to grab a protein bar.

Dear 2021
Dear 2021... ...how are you? I am well. I hope you are feeling a little better from last year. If you are not hopeful of a full recovery soon I will stay away a little longer. Please don't take it personally I have my grandparents and new born nephew to think about.

You Won't Believe What I’m Not Doing In 2021!
You probably thought I was kidding at the end of my last post when I said this would be the title for this article. I was. I was trying to be funny…ending the article the same way it started: poking fun at clickbait headlines. Then, as I sat listening to my muse for inspiration and the idea of a 2020 reflection came to me, well, you can probably guess where this is going.

Don't Save Things for 'Best', Enjoy our Nice Stuff Even in Quarantine
Unless the COVID-19 pandemic is handled remarkably well in your area, like most people whose birth dates happened to fall during the earlier months of 2020, we'll probably celebrate our birthday in lockdown or quarantine. My birthday was on May 5th and like most people who have achieved milestones (like passing the 2019 Bar and Physician Board Exams, congrats!) or simply celebrating another orbit on this planet, we are limited in the ways we celebrate our personal victories.

Prisoner of Your Own Mind
What does it mean to be a prisoner of your own mind? It means that you have full control on what you think about but then you don’t. Humans think a lot and it may cause anxiety and different emotions to appear. There may have been situations that has happened in the past that’ll keep playing over and over in your head that you may not want to think about, but it has affected you in such a strong way that you still can’t get over it. It’s normal to overthink but you have to learn how to help yourself as well. What I’m trying to say is, try to keep your mind positive. Whatever it is that is bothering you or has bothered you in the past, stay away from it.

Intentions Over Resolutions
You know the drill, New Year equals new goals and a new you. Pack up your gym bag and ditch the potato chips the diet has begun! Did you know the first new years resolutions were documented all the way back in the 17th century? Although this tradition has withstood the test of time some traditions are meant to evolve.
