A few days went by, and finally, when Rory woke, she was weak and tired, so Jason knew he would have to wait a little while longer. The staff kept him up-to-date on her progress. Once, Mrs. Thorn said that she was well enough for visitors. She informed Jason that Doctor Abrams had come to check on her again and gave her the okay to be able to start moving about.

The following morning, Scarlett and Maverick woke up having slept relatively well for being on the ground. It was mostly likely due to Scarlett having woken sprawled on top of Mavericks' chest with his large arm wrapped around her securely.
