When I was younger I was playing on my computer while my mom watched TV. I wasn't really paying the TV much attention. At least I didn't think I was. I guess I was retaining what the characters were saying because the first episode ended with a cliffhanger and I remember asking my mom "Wait what did he want?".

I was only 7 years old, and I asked my mother who those two stunning people are that were walking out of a breath-taking cathedral church, standing on those steps with big shining smiles. My mother said, “that is now Princess Diana, she was Lady Diana Spencer, but she just married the Prince of England, Prince Charles of Wales.”

The NetFlix series Anne with an E, is my guilty pleasure! It is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s books, Anne of Green Gables, and the movies. I’ve read the books and watched the movie since I was a little girl. So naturally, when the series came out I was super excited. Even though this is a kids show based pre-WWII and was cancelled; I can’t help but to watch it over and over again. Whenever I have a bad day, I sit down with a drink in one hand and the remote in the other ready to turn on, you guessed it, Anne of Green Gables. At this point, my husband and kids go running from the room.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t care about all the new shows out there. Whenever I open up a streaming service, I get so overwhelmed by all the options or suggestions, I shut off the part of the brain in charge of making decisions, and go back to the old reliable shows I’ve seen on repeat for years. You already know the show’s good. You’re familiar and happy with the characters. You’ve heard the dialogue so much, you can just leave the tv on in the background like white noise while you go about your day-to-day activities.

I've always loved watching films and many series' that have been recommended from friends and family. Who doesn't love coming home from work, you've just finished your regular 9-5 grind on a Tuesday. You're tired but you don't quite want to go to sleep just yet. So what should we do? We find something on Netflix. You're not super hungry because you've had little bites here and there throughout your shift but you're a little peckish. You grab whatever snacks that are in your cupboard from your last trip to the supermarket and to the living room you go, with your feet on the table and the remote at the ready.
