Cheyenne is the capital city of the US state of Wyoming. Wyoming State Capital right in the heart of the city is the state's seat of government. It was built between 1886 and 1890 and has a golden dome over forty meters high. You can admire the Renaissance Revival-style building from the outside and take a tour of the stately rooms and legislative chambers inside. There are decorative furnishings, colorful murals, and marble. Its most remarkable features are the stained-glass dome and rotunda. It is a National Historic Landmark surrounded by landscaped lawns.
