Rachel Reviews: Shakespeare: The Man Who Pays the Rent by Judi Dench
This book was a joy. I cannot tell you...actually, I can but need to gather my thoughts in order to do that. You see, the reason that I'm struggling is that it wasn't what I expected. I'm not sure what I was expecting. Probably a chapter on each play with a recollection written by Judi with some anecdotes and humorous insights. And it was all of this and yet, it was much, much more.

Rachel Reviews: Death in A Gilded Frame by Cecelia Tichi
I've read quite a few books by Cecelia Tichi now and I've come to know what to expect from them. We follow Val and Roddy DeVere, who are in some ways an odd couple, Roddy being from a well-to-do New York Society family and Val being the daughter of a self-made mining magnate: a little more rough around the edges in Society's eyes but actually, just a grounded gal, not prone to airs and graces. She might not be refined but she's astute and intelligent and I like her very much.

Bond Themes - do you have a favourite?
There are lots of iconic movie themes which have filtered into our everyday awareness. I notice on the classical radio station that I listen to that Ennio Morricone and John Williams and Michael Nyman, all film music composers of note, are mixed in with Mozart, Bach, Elgar, Grieg and Mussorgsky.
