“That’s the thing about depression: A human being can survive almost anything, as long as she sees the end in sight. But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it’s impossible to ever see the end.” ― Elizabeth Wurtzel

Rekrah’s Requiem
In dreams, I see myself not as myself, aboard a ship, seas raging beneath me. The Black Sea-appropriately named. A voyage somewhere new, a brand new horizon. Our passenger, employer, was in search of a new life. A new life, we held out hope of tasting. Though the voyage is long and harrowing, and darkness shadows over, the crew and the ship. Thomas Scythe was giving way to vomiting all yesterday and the day before. Not unexpectedly so, but still quite the stomach-churner, We left just a few days ago and already the journey has been decidedly choppy. That was as good a reason as any.
