on darkest of days
in bleakest of hues
the sun refuses, her illumination
all feels lost, my resignation
I am dog, I dirt
In the mire, I belong
the cold and clouds gather
the reality and false beliefs
I hold of myself
reign
Your love saves me

Definitely a turn back to serious! This is explosive, Paul! Such a well crafted contrast between the dark and light images/elements! Very well done!
This is sweet
Oh my gosh. I am lost for words. You took humility, defeat, and vulnerability to a whole new level with this one. I am no more in awe of just the words, but rather, where you went inside your head to write this. Wow, Paul, a true masterpiece! 👌🏽👏🏽💎
You summon a bleak scene and then fill it with light, my liege!
Oooo, this was so profound! Loved it, Sir Paul! 🍩🥐
Love the ending, "Your love saves me " ❤️❤️💕
☺️ 👍 Good job Paul!
Why is it that we men so often need saving? This is a crusher, Paul. Good luck on the challenge!
Great contrast between doom & gloom… & Love’s light & life!🤗💝

Nice...and you ain't no dog!
When someone can dig you out of there, that's love. Well done, sir.
Loved the depth of emotion in this one. Great job!
So beautifully put, Paul <3
In seminary, I was crashing badly. Then I met Sandra. One of my professors remarked to another, "Isn't it amazing what finding the right person can do?"
Beautiful.
Very deep expression of emotion of love.
You're really showing a lot of emotion with these poems. Good job.
