Christians and the World
The Bible was written for God’s people about the world and its state. It shows us our never-ending need for God. As sin entered the world, it began its decline into eternal damnation. But God had a plan—a plan to reclaim His creation. And while we are in the world, He tells us we are not of the world. There is a difference between our needs and desires and those of the world. I have read the Old Testament and the New Testament and have had marvelous lessons in learning about His Creation, His love for us, and His plan to bring us back home, where we belong. Our home is Heaven. The best book to fully understand Jesus for who He is and what He represents is the Book of John. It is my favorite book. We see Jesus as the man who came to dwell among us, showing us how to have faith in God. And, we see Jesus as God. This Book points to His deity.

Where Lying Takes You
I heard this from a sermon: “People will tolerate you as a liar when they are corrupt.” Is that not true? I have to agree with that, Pastor. I will add this, though: The circle of liars stays close, proving their deeds. Only will they part ways when they have reached “eating each other up.”

Voice of the Holy Spirit
I heard a Pastor say this: “The flesh seeks entertainment, distraction, and wants a busy mind. This allows it not to face the Spirit.” I found this topic to be so interesting years ago, after I was saved. I had read in the Word many times about the flesh and the spirit. And, when I heard this Pastor preach on this, it brought it back home to me. We are born in the flesh, with sin in us. We are given the conscience as a guide and a warning system built inside of us. But, as we know, conscience is ignored over and over. We know how it can quietly lie dormant, waiting for its later purpose. It will be our testimony against us in the end.

Chapters of Love and Life
I hope you enjoy reading my shares as much as I have loved creating them. May they take you places deep, where you have been, may be or places where you may be taken. May they be an aid in your living and healing. May they travel with you in your heart, hold and comfort you in your time; knowing that you are never alone in any thing. Others have been there, tasted the same bitter and painful moments. We survive when we know that there is an Almighty God looking over us and that there are others thinking of you. They too have known what you know.
