My Review of "Rocky IV"
Rocky IV came out in 1985. It was probably the my first memory of Rocky. This is the movie that kicked off my awareness of Rocky and I saw this during the height of the cold war crisis. The problem is, back when I saw it then I didn't understand what was going on. I just thought they were superheroes fighting each other. Years later I would watch it again with some understanding of the backstory. I liked it even more Now it's been so many years later. There's the worry that I'm not going to like it anymore.

My Review of "Career Opportunities"
Career Opportunities is a comedy that came out back in 1991. It's very unconventional but it's supposed to be a John Hughes movie. With his track record, I had to check it out. I was wondering why nobody really talks about this movie and now I kind of see why.

My Review of "Here Comes the Boom"
Here Comes the Boom is a comedy that came out back in 2012. It's one of the better Happy Madison movies that came out. They're usually hit or miss. These sort of movies have somewhat of a formula to them so you kind of know where this movie is going. Still the way they pulled this movie off makes it stand out from the pack.

My Review of "Renfield"
Renfield is an action comedy that came out in 2023. When this first came out it didn't really spark any interest in me. I'm not into horror movies and they tried to really push this narrative with its advertising. This is definitely not a horror movie. It does have a ton of violence and gore but it's a dumb comedy and that's right up my alley.

My Review of "The Edge of Seventeen"
The Edge of Seventeen is a dramatic comedy that came out in 2016. It's chaotic but at the same time very grounded. There is an air of authenticity that comes from this movie that infatuated me. The characters are flawed yet I still loved them. This could very well be one of the best coming of age movies I've seen in a while.

My Review of "Sydney White"
Sydney White is a comedy that came out in 2007. It's basically a cross mix between the Snow White fairy tale along with Revenge of the Nerds. There's a ton of tongue in cheek homages to the two classic movies. The twist is that it's based in 2007. There are a ton of references to the time and because of this, the movie can feel very dated for some.

My Review of "Becky"
Becky is an action movie that came out in 2020. I've never heard of this movie before but I noticed that the sequel is already out. If it has a sequel the first one has to be okay right? Why would they make a sequel if the didn't think they'd have an audience.

My Review of "Rocky III"
Rocky III came out in 1982. It takes a big left turn from what the franchise used to be with the first two iterations. This could also be blamed on the era that it was made. The movie definitely feels like it's a product of a new generation. That is also a blessing and curse in this case. For the most part it is quite enjoyable though.

My Review of "Love Hurts"
Love Hurts is sort of a romantic comedy that came out just before Valentine's day this year. I think the only thing it's got going for it is the star power they have in the cast. It wants to be so many things but never really focusing on what it really should be. The movie is disjointed and not really funny for a comedy.

My Review of "Where the Crawdads Sing"
Where the Crawdads Sing is a drama that came out back in 2022. It is one of the best virally advertised movies I've ever seen. They didn't do anything big in terms of advertisement. All of the streaming platforms seem to push this movie as recommended. I don't even watch these types of movies that often. As an idiot, I gave in and decided to watch it. In a way, I'm glad I'm an idiot.

My Review of "Stand by Me"
Stand by Me is a movie that came out in 1986. It's a coming of age drama that I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. I thought the movie would feel outdated since it takes place in the late 1950s. There aren't big action sequences or wild special effects but yet they were still able to capture my attention pretty well.

My Review of "Blade"
Blade is a superhero vampire movie that came out in 1998. I remember loving this movie when it first came out. With the new superhero movies coming out a lot of people brag about how superhero movies used to be. This is not a great example of one of those superhero movies. It's not terrible but I think people hype this movie more than it really should be.
