My Review of "Rebel Ridge"
Rebel Ridge is a thrilling movie that came out recently in 2024. I say thrilling because you are at the edge of your seat wondering what's next. If you like the movie The Accountant or shows like Reacher, this is right up your alley. I was under the impression that this was going to be an all out violent movie but it isn't.

My Review of "King Ralph"
King Ralph is a fish out of water comedy that came out in 1991. This was somewhat of a beloved movie back in the day. Watching it today, I can see how it has aged out of relevancy. It's too bad because I remember liking this movie when it first came out. There's minor fun to be had with this one but I don't think people would be able to digest this movie that well today.

My Review of "Ghost Dad"
Ghost Dad is a comedy that came out back in 1990. There are a lot of kid friendly elements that I probably really liked as a kid. Watching it today, I realized how terrible this movie is. There are some small redeeming qualities to it. All those redeeming qualities are not enough to make this an entertaining movie for all.

My Review of "Rocky V"
Rocky V is a regarded as one of the worst Rocky movies of the franchise. It came out in 1990. I was dreading the moment where I would have to check this movie out but I'm going through this series chronologically. This movie would be inevitable. Fortunately, I don't think it's quite as rock bottom terrible as others believe it to be, but it isn't a great movie either.

My Review of "The Secret of my Success"
The Secret of my Success is a comedy that came out back in 1987. Back in those days they kind of had a "Fake it until you make it" genre. There were so many types of these movies. This movie puts a little twist to it by making it corporate. The problem with this movie is that they have a lot of weird pacing issues and they tried to pack too much into one movie.

My Review of "The Hard Way"
The Hard way is a buddy cop movie that came out in 1991. It has a few notable actors of the time and a cameo that I didn't expect. For the most part, this is a competent movie but there are a few major things that get in the way of full enjoyment. There's also a lot of untapped potential with this film that they didn't even explore.

My Review of "Best of the Best"
Best of the best is a martial arts fighting movie that came out back in 1989. It kind of shows its age as a lot of the movie tropes as well as movie making techniques really show its age here. Weirdly enough, I actually really liked this movie when I was a kid. I can kind of see why I did like it back in the day but watching it today, I realized it is a really bad movie.

My Review of "School of Rock"
School of Rock is fun family movie that came out in 2003. I loved it the first time I saw it and every subsequent time that I've seen it. There's some sort of weird draw to to it that keeps me watching whenever it is on television. It's sort of like a warm comfortable blanket that keeps you warm during the winter days.

My Review of "Flow"
Flow is an animated movie that came out in 2024. It's a bit difficult to gain access to this movie because it's a small independent movie. You kind of have to go to small theatres to find it. I was curious about it because a friend had told me about how she loved this movie. It was sort of the same lines as Wild Robot but very different. Since I loved Wild Robot I thought I'd enjoy this just as much. For the most part I did enjoy it but it's a little heady.

My Review of "Out for Justice"
Out for Justice is an action movie that came out back in 1991. I have heard of Steven Seagal and have never seen any of his movies. This was one of the recommended movies to check out first. Admittedly, I had my hesitations but it turned out to be way more entertaining than I thought it would be. You have to watch it while knowing that its over exaggerations were a product of its time. Though, these over exaggerations were kind of what kept this movie so entertaining.

My Review of "CODA"
CODA is a coming of age movie that came out in 2021. The story is simple but there's so many elements that make it such a multi-layered movie. There are elements of discrimination, obligation, duty, loyalty, ambition and so much more. I don't know how they crafted so many things into this one story but I'm so glad that they did and I finally got around to watching it.

My Review of "For Love or Money"
For Love or Money is a romantic comedy that came out in 1993. It's a a quirky movie that resembles the play, Cyrano de Bergerac, with a "modern" twist. Now looking at it, we consider this very old school. There are a lot of dated elements to this modern take of the play. I fortunately lived during this time and do remember some of the old references and the times they lived in.
