I Resign, Mr. President
Dear Mr. President, I resign. No, you don't get to use your huffy red face at me and say that I can't resign because you are firing me. I SAID IT FIRST. I resign. Your budget decisions are going to ruin EVERYTHING I worked so hard on. You wanted savings, and we got you savings. Now your Big Boob Bill is undoing it all.

Dear Lorna, Not Who I Thought You Were
Dear Lorna, Not Who I Thought You Were: I resign this UN-friendship. The CRUX: I was never your go-to, just your sometimes, nothing-better-to-do sidekick. In the early years, we cooked together and talked about garden plants and homemade baby food. Beach get-togethers in spring proved too cold for me, but we liked hiking in the mountains in the summer. So many fun times are shadowed by the times you imbibed too hard and said such ugly things. In the beginning, I defended you. Later, I could no longer do it, with so much evidence slapping me in the face. I didn't know you when you were young, and I can't speak to why alcohol overcame you. It was unpleasant to see and ruined many times that would have been fun.

Angelique's Repose. Top Story - May 2025.
Angelique hides quietly in a shrub as bees and birds flit around her. A ladybug climbs up her arm to rest on her shoulder. As she watches clouds, a napping, curled cat floats in the sky, followed by a strand of pearls spreading vertically and horizontally. There are many cloud shapes: eagles, mountains, a sleeping baby, and a canoe drifting along the sky river. Leaves brush against Angelique's immobile and ageless form, a concrete maiden frozen in time.

Paint Me A Chocolate Pardon
Cover the world in pink. There is proof that it calms violent criminals. Paint prisons and cells hot pink, dress guards and inmates in rose, magenta, cherry, and watermelon, and include forms of chocolate for de-stressing in all meals. High-quality chocolate will be delivered in box trucks painted fuchsia, their sides covered in displays of chocolate candy.
