Grassroots campaigns have proven instrumental in bringing about political, social or environmental change; you've got to start somewhere-might as well start here.
Cutting Off The Helping Hand. Content Warning.
I hate being right. Four days into this presidency, I said a whole bunch of things, and already more than one of them appears to be happening. Admittedly it was not the changes I expected right away, but the ramifications are beyond what I would consider to be recoverable. In short, what is about to happen is going to be irrevocable damage, and will result in widespread global destabilization, in addition to internal destabilization.

The Coal Dust Settles
The kettle rattled on the stove as Mary poured the last of their tea into two chipped mugs. Her hands trembled slightly, not from cold but from exhaustion—physical, emotional, and everything in between. She set the mugs on the table, her eyes darting toward the clock. 10:45 p.m. Jim would be home soon, his shift on the picket line ending for the night. She pulled her thin cardigan tighter around her, the damp chill of the Derbyshire evening settling into the stone walls of their terraced house.

A Sharp Spoke of the Wheel
As far as we know, the social cycle theory goes back at least as far as ancient Greece. Heck, even the word cycle comes from the ancient Greek word kyklos, which implies that they were looking back at other cultures and civilizations we don’t know much of anything about, and coming to the same conclusions.

Are you in the right job?
In a perfect world, people would be hired because they are the best at the job they are applying for. In a perfect world, that best hired person for the job would take pride in his talent and work and provide the best product and/or service as he was hired to do. That's in a "perfect" world - but we don't live in a "perfect" world, do we? What I've seen happen more often is the wrong person in a job. The wrong person doesn't do the job right. The wrong person doesn't "love" the job or the product or the service. The wrong person has no pride in the job and the wrong person often makes the customers of the product or service unsatisfied. How did the wrong person get that job? Why is the wrong person still doing that job?

Mindless Obedience. Content Warning.
She remembers the day it all changed. Her world, her life... everything she knew became twisted. The whole world changed in an instant. It was the day this twisted version of a patriotic political party gained control in her country. They called themselves the party for the country and making it "great" once again. They were led by a man whose rise to power was swift and done by gaslighting the people into believing that he would give them wealth and make their country shine again. His name was Hitler. He destroyed her life, and the lives of millions.

Blind Visions
It was a complicated case of the blind leading the blind. In March of 2018, we took our son for his annual eye exam to get updated eyeglass prescriptions. That year he was 20/70 and 20/80. At almost 21, he was ready to get his driver’s license, but he’d need an updated prescription the following year. He was eager to drive.

Lockdown
I can give you the date: March 11, 2020. Everything that led up to this moment and the fallout afterward may fall from the world’s memory over time, but I kept a running timeline from pre-2020 to January 2021. I know that one day my grandchildren will ask if any of “that stuff” actually happened so I collected article headlines, news photos, and the abundance of memes that one day won’t make sense out of context.

NOITULOVE. Content Warning.
Introduction I wasn't so sure about doing this one, and I doubt this will even be considered for the challenge as it is not SWAMP material although it will touch on that, though ironically the video does include a swamp, but I still think it is worth sharing. It will contain lots of pivotal moments and may probably lose me some subscribers but if it makes one person think or give one person inspiration then it will be worth doing.
