Hey there y'all! Dani here, and I write nonfiction, fiction, and poetry on Vocal. I enjoy being blown away by creative work that is vulnerable and emotive, combined with an element of the unexpected. We all have unique facets to our being but not all of us write about it. That takes trust to a whole new level and "Lightning Bolt" Bill O'Neal did that with this heartfelt piece that I read recently. I recommend it highly! https://shopping-feedback.today/humans/you-re-simply-the-best%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

I'm Natalie, and going out on a limb here to say (translation-brag) I won the Sky-ku Challenge! Whoo-hoo, still haven't come down to Earth from that one. I usually am around here writing poetry and short stories. This week I really liked one of the First Frost entries by Josey Pickering- https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/little-fawn%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E in addition to all the familiar faces in my line up.
I am D.J. Reddall, sessional lecturer by day, mad scribbler by night. Silver Daux is a gifted poet who doubts her status as such, which makes this poem especially compelling: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/interpretations%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Hii this is Anwesha, just a teen in love with writing!! All thanks to my mom. In my last thread, I mentioned Sk parihar, Babs Iverson and Benjamin adjej... My favorite writers you can still view their profile and fall in love with reading their work😍 I recently found a writer who has written this amazing piece his name is Tony. Do check out his work. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/just-a-dream-hc3wj0a5v%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
The struggle is real with this list like all my other list, but here it goes. In absolutely no particular order, you all are number 1 but for the sake of the layout… 1. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/en-avant%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E (Pamela William ~ my comment ((Your prose was beautiful, breathtakingly descriptive, packed with depth and substance and the sweetness of a blissful sleep. I love it, and yet I don’t understand how you were able to write a moment so complete in such few words, how were you able to make it make sense the way it does? Rhetorical for the genius that you are. 2. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/three-months-to-live%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E (Maryam Batool ~ my comment ((Maryam you scared me so much with this one. I was glued to the title and the sub title I didn’t want to read any further, I thought no I can’t lose Maryam. Then as I was reading I am thinking, oh the diagnosis and the cancer is shifting bodies. Whose body is it in? The daughter or the mother, oh my gosh both. The grief turned into the cancer in the daughter. My gosh why are you so incredibly talented? The depth of your imagination and creativity is breathtaking. 3. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/ephemerosynthesis%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E ( Komal ~ my comment ((• Deprive ourselves of verbals… insults to ourselves, to ignore them from others. (I love that v e r b a l s, was spaced out, its mimicking the effect it has on us, like a shout… aggressive) • from fracture to dust motes, I really like that • I love that s u b t l e s s e n c e is spaced out like V e r b a l s (to also act as a heading. • quietude that linger in abandoned syllables ( oh my goodness, some syllables aren’t pronounced, I love how you summon the pain to be taken away by those abandoned syllables) this poem is too beautiful, I don’t want to butcher it with my interpretation. I hope I am not too far off, please forgive me if I am 🙏♥️ This feels like warm water in the shower trailing down, oh it’s too beautiful for more words to be put forth towards it. In other words I am speechless, and rightfully so, because I feel as though that’s what this poem wants. It needs us to drink it down in silence. Its healing power must be felt with no resistance. I can’t help it when I got to the end, I find I have more to say. It’s like you want us to live a life outside of the physical. Go where the spirit lies, experience from within, far away from the effects that lies without. Enjoying the peace and quietness in the place where they reside, were you guiding us on where to find it? 4. https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/the-table-of-kalila-nag%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E (John Cox ~ my comment ((This had so many key moments in it that moved before my eyes like a movie as I read: one of which was, the pup lowering its head in submission. I love how the main character interacted with time and the celestial sphere. The sentences in italic font came across as a completely different voice, it scared me because it was wonderfully unexpected, but held my attention. You’re nailing this story so far. Oh gosh, where did aba go? 😰 this was an exciting read. 5. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/the-mirror-qb21q0r8e?modal=open ( Sk Parihar ~ my comment ((A trippy creative and vivid exploration of consciousness. It is relatable too, this is the way I often feel. I am thinking, how is it that I can see them so clearly, yet when I look at myself I am further and further away. Even to type this now, I am feeling kind of strange, losing my grip on reality. I came back at around 9pm last night, and it didn’t even feel like I was walking or that i had complete control of my body. It was like I was in the back somewhere. Nice to see that I am not alone. Beautifully written Sk 👌🏽👏🏽

Hello all, I am J. L. Green. I write a variety of things, mostly stories, usually on the darker side of the spectrum and with an undertone of sarcasm. I'm sure most are aware of it already, but I want to highlight Rachel Deeming's novella for her "story a day" challenge. It is gripping and twisting and amazing! She put all the chapters together in one spot and here is the link: https://shopping-feedback.today/chapters/little-red-leaf-the-chapters%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Hey, my name is Emily and I usually write inspirational poems and some emotional poems. But anyways here is an inspirational poem I recently read about lemons by Alexandria Stanwyck: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/lemony-problems%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
I'm Dana and I write stuff. Here's one that won't take up much of your reading time, but it's about someone you might recognize, with the attitude she's famous for. From Cathy Holmes: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/gratitude-abigail-style%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
Hi, it's Alexandria, writer and poet. I write, well, not to copy Paul, stuff, but mostly poetry and short stories. I'm going to recommend "a soft love" by Poppy for a Top Story. This, I'm sure, is a submission for the Letters of Gratitude challenge (if it's not Poppy, correct me). The format follows a more poetic form instead of the typical letter and it helps it stand out amongst all the rest.
Hi, I'm MARYAM BATOOL, as per my profile name. Paul here, iconoclast, writer, poet, rulebreaker, ruleavoider, ruleadjacenter, formdestroyer. Erm, yeah, I write stuff. Anyway, here's my suggestions for Top Stories: Please Vocal right the wrongs of the past and ensure that Mike Singleton's fabulous riff on The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe makes it to the top spot - https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/another-raven?via=mike This awesome, truthbomb dropping, hilarious, just creatively brilliant piece for the Letters of Gratitude Challenge by The Dani Writer - https://shopping-feedback.today/humans/to-the-only-sus-scrofa-domesticus-i-ve-ever-admired%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E Give the "Not a poet..." Stephen A. Roddewig a Top Story for this beautiful poem. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/the-simple-turns-sublime%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E This beautiful letter from Bri Craig deserves a Top Story too - https://shopping-feedback.today/humans/to-the-stranger-who-turned-me-into-a-writer%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E I Am More Than A Color by Alexandria Stanwyck is another worthy suggestion - https://shopping-feedback.today/humans/i-am-more-than-a-color%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E Like I've said before, blood won't spill if you don't meet with your demands, but I would greatly appreciate it, as would the creators, if you did, dear Vocal.
