I'm Shai (pronounced: Shy). I write fictional short stories and poetry. I write horror, thrillers, and anything else that I feel inspired to write. I would love some support, or even just feedback on my stories.

Your words touched me more deeply than I expectedāsometimes we write through pain, and sometimes we heal through someone elseās. Thank you for reminding me that stories like ours matter. Iām also someone who writes from a place of struggle and silent strength. Following you nowāand Iād be honored if you ever visit my corner of Vocal too. We rise when we lift each other.

Been a little busy after moving back to New Zealand, but it's been nice to catch back up on Vocal and see who's writing whatš https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/why-i-stopped-editing-my-first-drafts%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E This piece from Carolina Borges was an excellent reminder about the importance of just getting words down on paper first, before you start to order and arrange them.
I usually I donāt like to pick just a few creators because I always feel bad about the people whom I donāt choose (and there are so many talents here). But I like to reciprocate, especially when theyāre writers I greatly admire. This one from Amos is so compelling, terrifying, and fun as he pulls us into a little game of horror from his past: https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/skeptical-specter-spectacle%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E This awesome, deep, and introspective one from Paul, which he totally won an outside challenge for: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/climbing-age-and-sloping-back%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E And one for Cristal whose entry for the "You Were Never Really Here" challenge was a heart-hitter and really gripping https://shopping-feedback.today/fiction/thirty-nine-six-o-clocks-and-counting%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E There are so many I would love to shout out, so Iāll do more next time.
Permit me to enthusiastically recommend that you read this sophisticated poem by Caroline Jane; it struck me as a powerful representation of the lot of the conscious, feeling subject taking everything in, for good and ill: https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/tidings%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Hi, everyone. That's everyone. You know. Collectively. Anyway. I've drawn out that Hi, everyone quite enough. Don't you think? I am trying to pull together the frayed ends of my mind - and write a second entry for the You Were Never Really Here challenge. and some of the other Summer writing challenges. I have not read nearly as much as I'd prefer, thanks to grief, working on my own pieces, for Vocal and outside Vocal. But.here are a few recommendations D.J. Reddall is the king of ekphrasitc sonnet's and with this one he takes a stunning piece of art and elevates it, remarkably. - https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/displacement-bu1s50wwi%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E AJ Schofield's entry for the I Wrote This is heartbreaking, deeply personal, but with an ultimately positive end. - https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/come-crawl-inside-my-broken-brain%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E DK Shepard's entry for the same challenge offers a great insight into her journey to become a teacher and writer. - https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/stepping-stones-4kaul0648%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E Matthew Fromm's entry into the same challenge is a fun and whimsical journey. - https://shopping-feedback.today/writers/maples-and-magicians%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E I would have been highlighting Euan Brennan's entry here, but he already went and got a Top Story for his. It's awesome and deserving and we should all applaud him, without watching his video (secretly watch it though, but just don't tell him!)
Hello! I'm Amos Glade and I like to write horror, magic realism, and averagely okay poetry. I am going to make a recommendation in a comment to my own post.
