The Last Spell in the Margins
The house at the end of Holy Cross Road looked like it had let out its final breath. The rooftop sagged slightly, and the shutters leaned off-kilter toward the soil. Even the fence, once pristine white, was now yellowed and peeling. Inside, the family picked through the remains of Eliza Bankop’s estate with hazy, tired eyes. Piles began to take shape as her adult children divided what was left. The younger grandchildren dashed around the mess, their energy unleashed after sitting still through the two-hour funeral. In the kitchen, the spouses chatted with beers in hand, unfazed by the solemn occasion.

Revisiting Yuri!!! on Ice — 8 Years Later!. Top Story - June 2025.
That’s right, people—Yuri!!! on Ice came out over 8 years ago. Feel old yet? Yuri!!! on Ice is a lovely little show. It’s a half-figure skating, half-romance anime about a 23-year-old Japanese ice skater named Katsuki Yuri, and he’s having a rough go of it. After binge-eating before a competition due to stress and the depression of losing his childhood dog, Yuri loses terribly at Nationals. He heads back home to Japan, fearing and dreading that his exuberant figure skating career may be coming to a sad and rather lackluster end.

"No, everything’s been alright, thank the Lord. The staff are... helpful. Nothin’ over the top, just a sweet spirit all around. No need to worry."

Now Leah stood in front of the mirror, pressing her lips together. The artificial strawberry of her lip gloss too sweet on her tongue. She tucked the flyaways of her caramel hair behind her ear and smoothed her sundress. Leah couldn't remember the last time she had dressed up like this.

Camp Wannabe
Sarah's listless eyes saw the flyer dangling from a single thumbtack on the cork board in her college dorm. Although it was partially curled from the effects of humidity, she could see the bold-lettered word 'amp' which drew her attention. She rolled it out to a flat position and took an unused tack to pin the right side up, making it visible. She could now see the word was 'Camp'. A talent camp. She always wanted to showcase her talents but felt silly about it...

Reigning in the Rain
Their love surged both on and off the battlefield, where hundreds of villagers raised their weapons against the soldiers of King Einar of KhaRel. They were merely a distraction, and while they valiantly fought on, one Leopold Dulon snuck through the back alleys of the village bearing a string-and-button fastened cloak in an unassuming gray color. Mercenaries hired by Einer to find him were posted throughout the street corners with orders to haul him back kicking and screaming if they must.
