So, let’s start again… we could be friends!
I’ll try to tamp down my exuberant, Extrovert eagerness
Lead in quietly… tread softly… tip toe like a timid mouse
Everything okay?
No answer!
Cringing, I scuttle away… clearly, things will be no different today!
Echoes of previous stillborn attempts, ring silently as I retreat in defeat ... for now.

And that's how relationships are. A skirmish, quite a large part of the time, and nicely woven with the Silence prompt!
Intriguing dynamic of a friendship. 👍
Your format is so very creative. And I appreciate walking into an introvert's world like that...I am one, but I do love extroverts. If it weren't for them, I'd never branch out of my shell.
Good entry, best of luck in the challenge ☺
I like the idea of using (inner) dialogue to drive a bit of a story in this acrostic! Very clever Angie!!
What a uniquely rendered dynamic! This has such a strong narrative voice driving it!
Oh, the protagonist deserves a beak, that eagerness deserves an answer.
Hehehhehehe this made me chuckle! Loved your poem!
