Leaving Pets Home Alone with Confidence
Pet Safety: A Top Priority for Many Many pet owners tend to worry about them when have to leave them home alone. Pets are a part of the family and it is not unnatural to be concerned about them when they are unattended. Some pet owners work an eight hour day and have to leave their pets alone until they return from work. This leaves some owners feeling guilty and worried. While away at work, some sit and wonder what their pet is doing all day long all by themselves. Do they get lonely and anxious? Are they getting into trouble at home? Believe it or not, some pets have a shift in their moods when they are left alone while others joyfully amuse themselves. Many pets will misbehave and become depressed when they are by themselves for long periods of time. The independent pets will relish in their alone time. It may depend on the nature of the pet. Either way, most pet owners hold the belief that their beloved pets are a top priority in their lives.

Toddler Company Targets Parents with Anti-Zoo Propaganda
Munchkin is a company that is known for making products made for everyday use for toddlers that was first established in 1991 after it’s founder Steven B. Dunn was surprised by the lack of “creative” designs in products that were made for infants and toddlers. While the company started out with making eco-friendly sippy cups, the company has since gone on to make organic snacks and formulas along with travel accessories. However, in recent years, as of 2015, the company has been under fire by both zoo and aquarium professionals alike over its ties with a radical anti-zoo group.

You Can't Save Them All
Being the young (and broke) professional I am, I take any new opportunity to work with horses. If the ranch/barn/farm is within a 40 minute drive, I'm in. This attitude has worked well to help fill my wallet (until the next vet bill or feed order or board payment is due anyway), but has put me in some pretty strange situations that have led to the occasional moral crisis. The truth of the matter is that most people don't hire me for my opinion, but simply to do the work they don't feel like putting in themselves. Normally, this situation works out fine for me as most horse owners I've encountered have treated their horses fairly as well as myself. However, there have been two recent situations where I was caught between the owner's expectation and the welfare of the horse. Now, here's the big question: what do you do? Walk away? Hold out and hope to make a difference? I can tell you which one is the easier option, but is it the best?

Backyard Chickens
It was a late afternoon on a steamy May day. First things first, I don't handle the heat well and early summer was firmly rooted in place. My daughter and I were stuck in traffic. The endless road work stalled us at least an hour every day after school. That's the moment my daughter spoke up. "I want chickens."

The View From the Dog House (Pt. 5)
Isn't this a funny expression? The first thing that attracts a potential reader to a book is its cover isn't it? So far, with the exception of Tea Break Tales the covers for Rosy Teale's books have enough similarities to be recognisable as hers. Two more titles are ready to publish, and their covers will also reflect this so therefore, Connie's Reunion will have a similar cover to Connie's Bodmin Mystery.

Losing a Pet for the First Time
We got our first dog, Daisy, in December 2007. I was eight years old at the time. She was a West Highland Terrier, a little bundle of joy, a light for our whole family. Everyone loved her. As a puppy, she was so small that she’d curl up in the grate beside our fireplace, falling asleep on the cool marble.

Movie Review: 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' Is Yet Another Bad Dog Movie
The spate of mediocre dog movies in 2019 is threatening to turn me into a cat person. A Dog’s Journey and A Dog’s Way Home are so interchangeably forgettable that, even though I wrote about both movies, I can’t recall how to tell them apart a mere few months later. I can recall that both attempted to pull tears from my eyes with the emotional equivalent of pliers but beyond that, both films are just unmemorable and mediocre.

Omar's Diary to August 10, 2019
It does not feel very much like summer currently as there have been heavy rains and strong winds attacking the windows of Omar Towers that are forecast to continue for the rest of today. It feels like the encroachment of Autumn into Summer. A good day for remaining indoors and sorting things out.

Delicious Honey
A treat that has been enjoyed for tens of thousands of years by Australian Aboriginals, involved finding a nest of native bees in a hollowed out tree branch, and tasting their delicious honey. But, the Aboriginals never got stung robbing the hive. These bees don’t sting.
