1. Engage you

"NO! to poles in our close
NO, WE DO NOT WANT POLES IN OUR CLOSE PART 1 This was the first time in my life that I have ever, ever organised any sort of direct action in the hope of hoping to change something being dumped by a large corporate in our quiet close.

Final approach
By the time I had finished checking the horse had enough hay and a good enough rug on for the cold night ahead dusk had descended down the hill from Newlands Enclosure and across the fields. A low lying and billowing mist gave a blurred indicator of where Dockens Water bordered the paddocks.

If only people knew St George's backstory
The words that follow may make me feel like I am whistling into a force ten hooley coming off of the English Channel. What I have seen on the news and have been bombarded with on social media feeds lately is coverage of demonstrations outside hotels here in England. These are hotels that are providing accommodation for people who have entered our country through improper channels. Please note that I have not used the words “immigrant” or “immigrants”. I find both of them totally dehumanising and capable of obliterating any respect for the individuals concerned let alone taking any account of their individual back stories. As for the use of "illegal" that is an issue to be decided through the due process of law.

Looking a lot better after it's 60th anniversary
Through the merciless lens of time when looking back on childhood memories the sun shone brighter, the skies were bluer, greenery was greener and a memorial hewn from seven tons of Portland stone looked freshly carved and pristine.
