The Formula for Creating Effective New Year's Resolutions
It’s that time of the year again. It’s time for new year's resolutions. We all have at some point experienced the excitement that comes with making our new year's resolutions and the guilt that comes with breaking them. For a while, I actually hated making resolutions and actively any conversation about them. They felt like an inevitable failure, so my life felt easier when I didn’t make them. But this year, I changed my mind. I decided to create a list of resolutions that is different from all the others I’ve created.

Revamping New Year's Resolutions
It is that time of year again when families gather around with A3 blocks, felt tips, and an earnest desire to get things done. This is usually briefly preceded by fervent rifling through papers typically coated in a layer of dust one year thick and a flurry to destroy the evidence of previous commitments. Glancing down last year's list only to be berated by your younger ghost is bad enough...

Why I Only Set Goals Not Resolutions
If you have read any of my New Year’s articles. You know that I do not believe in New Year’s resolutions. New Year’s resolutions are for the weak. 9 times out of 10 a person will sit unrealistic New Year’s resolutions and then fail at them and then feel bad because they failed at them.

Chronic Feeling-Like-a-Slacker Syndrome
I've never felt more like a superhero than after I chug a venti cold brew with a shot of espresso. I get off that toilet feeling invincible; it feels like I have the chance to meet the self-inflicted expectations of the day. It only lasts as long as the existential dread stays quiet.

New Year New (Nicer to Myself) Me
As I write this, I'm deleting file after file of to-do lists that now seem a bit unreasonable. Now, they aren't "climb Mount Everest", but they are equivalently large to where my life is now. A quota amount of money to save by a certain date, number of pages to read, miles to run. All geared towards self-improvement, but I'm realizing these goals are taking the joy out of activities I used to love. The constant reminder ping on my phone or sticky notes left around my room add to the growing anxiety I put on myself.

Why telling your goals is secretly destroying your success
Everyone knows that one guy who, on New Year's Eve, proclaims to all his friends his ambitious plans to go to the gym every day, or wake up at 7:00 AM every morning for the whole year. And they go and buy new workout clothes, install habit tracking apps, and are elated by the prospect of becoming that awesome person they've always wanted to be.

A Recap Of 2020 & 2021
Dear 2020 & 2021, I thought you will be new years for fresh starts but that wasn't the case. I was going through a few mental challenges that had me depressed and down for months. I've lost and distance myself away from friends and close associates due to their own selfish and dishonest reasons. I even lost a few old classmates from my old school that I still can't believe is gone. But I know that they are in a better place now. After everything I was going through for almost 2 years already, I still came out happy and full of peace. I know that I still have a long way to go but looking back on the mistakes I made and learning from them, I achieved those mistakes by keeping myself busy with writing and school. Making me forget things and people that were the least of my worries. Keeping negative energy away that only kept me at my lowest.

Should you start a side hustle in 2022?… 4 ideas to start
As the year 2021 is coming to an end I would advise you to start 2022 in the best possible way. One suggestion I give you is to build your own side hustle, the time couldn’t be more perfect. I wouldn’t think of it as a moneymaker, if you wanna start, do it for fun. Start a blog about your favorite topic(ex: fashion, cars, sports, traveling), grow a social media page, build your online course, start freelance writing.
