For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
What is the difference between emotion detection and emotion recognition?
As the interaction between us and the machine gets deeper and deeper, will you hope to get an accurate and surprising response when chatting with Siri, and the songs played by the smart speaker can follow your mood to achieve intelligent changes.Let the machine understand you better, which is the direction of researchers in the field of emotional computing. Laughing when happy, blushing when shy, and speaking faster when nervous are human emotional expressions. These emotional expressions are also being understood by machines through collection, recognition and calculation. Emotion recognition is the key technology for machines to understand human emotions. From text, speech, facial expressions, body movements to physiological signals inside the body, researchers are trying to integrate more emotional signals to make recognition more accurate and human-computer interaction more natural, smooth and warm. In 1995, Professor Rosalind W. Picard of the Media Laboratory of Massachusetts Institute of technology first proposed to create a computer system that can perceive, recognize and understand human emotions and make intelligent, sensitive and friendly responses by recognizing human emotional signals. In 1997, Picard's monograph "effective computing" was published, in which she pointed out that "emotional computing is a calculation that can measure and analyze human external performance, and can exert influence on emotion", opening up a new field of computer science. Emotional computing started from this. In the "emotional computing of artificial intelligence" jointly released by the Institute of artificial intelligence of Tsinghua University and other institutions, emotional computing is divided into three modules, namely, the collection of emotional signals, the analysis, modeling and recognition of emotional signals, the research on the fusion algorithm of emotional signals, and emotional recognition includes language, facial expressions, voice, limbs and other subdivision modules. The current research focuses on text, facial expression and speech recognition. However, many times, human emotions are not externalized in the face or voice. Some researchers believe that relying on facial expressions to recognize human emotions is not accurate. In 2019, five experts in the United States published a paper entitled "emotional expressions reconciled: challenges to inferring emotion from human facial movements", pointing out that the way people express anger, anger, sadness, surprise and other emotions changes with the changes of culture and situation, and even in the same case, different people have different ways of expression. "People's emotional performance is not just language, expression and voice. Emotion itself is particularly complex. For example, when I am nervous, my heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature will change. Facial expression, language, voice, physiological signals and other modes can reflect human emotional changes." Li Taihao, assistant director of the cutting-edge theory research center of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Zhijiang laboratory, pointed out. In 2016, researchers at MIT's computer science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory developed a device called "EQ radio", which can recognize others' emotions through wireless signals. "EQ radio" claims that by monitoring the subtle changes in breathing and heart rate, it can judge whether a person is excited, happy, angry or sad, with an accuracy of 87%. Li Taihao pointed out that the accuracy of single-mode emotion recognition is not high. At present, multimodal emotion recognition is the promising direction of researchers. "Language and external expressions can be artificially controlled, but physiological signals are not controlled. It is difficult to accurately judge human emotions with one mode. Now we hope to improve the accuracy of the original single mode through multimodality, and integrate all kinds of perceptible information and signals for emotion recognition." Multimodal emotion recognition is still in a very cutting-edge research stage. Li Taihao said that there are two major problems to be solved in this field. The first is the problem of perception. "On the one hand, we need to make breakthroughs in hardware, such as developing a simple and comfortable wearable device that can accurately capture the changes of human heart rate, blood pressure, EEG and other physiological signals. On the other hand, some studies are trying to collect physiological signals without contact, such as using machine vision and image processing technology to obtain temperature, blood pressure and other data. But on the whole, there are still some problems in accuracy." Li Taihao explained. The second is the problem of multimodal fusion. Li Taihao said, "it is a difficult point to know how to associate so much information and how to fuse multiple modes instead of relying too much on a certain mode. When the perceptual signals are collected well and the algorithm fusion has a breakthrough, the machine may recognize emotions more accurately than people." Let robots have "emotions". When human emotions are decoded, what work and life scenes can they be applied to? At present, there are case reports in the field of automatic driving. Affectiva, a Boston based start-up, once launched a software product "affectiva automotive AI", which focuses on the passengers in the car. This product can monitor the status of drivers, recognize emotions from their voices, body language and facial expressions, and help reduce traffic accidents. The person in charge of the above "EQ radio" project also predicted that the emotion recognition device could be used in entertainment, consumer behavior, health care and other fields. Film studios and advertisers can test the audience's response in real time through this system, and the smart home system can also use your emotional information to adjust the temperature, etc. "An advertisement doesn't know the effect before it is put into use. At this time, emotional recognition can play a role. For example, if the audience of an advertisement is young people, the advertiser can select some samples in advance and judge whether the advertisement has achieved the effect through emotional recognition, so as to make corrections." Li Taihao explained. In addition, emotion recognition is useful in the fields of auxiliary diagnosis of mental diseases, education, transportation and so on. Service robot may be the largest application scenario of multimodal emotion recognition in the future. In Li Taihao's view, robots today are task-based, without temperature, and can't interact emotionally with people. "There are more and more elderly people, and it is likely that robots will care for them in the future. If robots are just machines, the elderly may be more lonely. People are social and need to communicate. If service robots want to really enter the application, they must have 'emotion'." In the Disney animated film "super Marine Corps", the robot has attracted countless people. It is not only a personal health assistant, but also a friend of the protagonist Xiao Hong, guiding Xiao Hong out of the haze. With the development of artificial intelligence technology such as emotional computing, perhaps one day in the future, robots will no longer be cold instruments, and we can also have a warm "big white".

Letters
Drinking my coffee, smoking a cigarette, those are my dear and true friends, you know what is so funny to me and sad, the worse thing or feeling in the world that you don’t even know if you will find a person who deeply understands you! I feel like I came from Mars, feel like nobody, and almost no one hears what I’m saying or talking about...

Is human nature good or is human nature evil?
Is cannibalism evil? Since the dawn of man there has been fighting, constant cannibalism, society has developed to the present day. People are people, because there is desire, desire is the power of human progress, but also the most terrible thing of human. There has never been a difference between good and evil, just different positions. Man first hunted animals, eating meat for food and taking their skins to add to their bodies. All in order to survive, in the eyes of animals, people are evil, but in the eyes of humans, this is right, the weather is cold, I will freeze to death without fur, no meat to eat will starve to death. It's a matter of position. To now, abnormal killer, murder and so on emerge in endlessly, the vast majority of people look, the killer is absolute evil. Because people are afraid of it happening to them. That's true, but what about people who are forced to kill? A car accident takes the life of an entire family, leaving a lonely child, and the perpetrator is released after paying money. The child with the family to buy life money to live in the relatives' home, that money has been ruthlessly seized by relatives, when the child has the ability to resist, there is no doubt that he will kill, will be very cruel. Good for evil people, has been slowly eliminated by the society, a good for evil people hate and die, there will be no more such people appear. Survival of the fittest, do not adapt to this cruel world, will be eliminated, eliminated. The others, the ones who kill for revenge, for money, are the ones who can't control their desires, in other words they turn their desires into hatred. There is no reason for real evil. There is no reason. I just wanted to kill you, so I did. Just to see what people look like when they die, they kill people, and enjoy the cries of struggle and the expression of helplessness and despair in their dying days. Such cases have increased in recent years, mostly among young people. They don't think there's anything wrong with destroying a family and killing a few people, which is to say: they don't think they're evil. Out of sympathy for the dead, their relatives and friends, and out of fear of evil befalling them, people call them evil. This question has nothing to do with the law, just about human nature, breaking the law, not necessarily evil, law-abiding, does not represent good. You are born with a blank sheet of paper, and what you put on it is up to others. If a person lives a correct and cheerful life, I think he will not appear evil side. In fact, in the final analysis, it is education, endowing the right three views, when there is a problem, someone timely guidance and correction, so that at least in the heart will leave "good" seeds. But who can guarantee a lifetime of happiness? Who goes out into the world and everything goes well? If there is evil in the big society, there is no way to prevent human nature from becoming evil. Every coin has its opposite. There is good and there is evil. If there is no evil, what can be called good? Good and evil do not depend on people, but on the environment. 8 people agree with the answer that human nature is evil. When you are really in those painful things, you will find that your pain is only known to you. Some people say they know but do not feel the pain at all. Some people make it worse. Those people in prison, they hurt somebody's father and somebody's child, and they hurt them with no kindness. Those who have been hurt, and did not care about the hurt their father whose son, they only hope that those people can be sentenced to death. But they also have elderly parents, hungry children, and they really find life hard. Everyone stands in their own position, seeking the best side for themselves, this is human nature. Maybe some people do not hurt others, maybe some people's kindness is just a simple gesture, I really do not exclude those who risked their lives to save people, but those are really only a minority. That is why there is such a selection of the top ten people who have moved China. In a huge Country of 1.4 billion, only ten people have moved the country. Perhaps this statement is a little extreme, but it is because of lack, so we just cherish. Lack is precisely because of the evil of human nature, evil in the bones, those desires, those feelings, are evil. Evil is that a child can throw hot pot soup in a girl's face, evil is that a child can shut a younger child in an elevator, evil is that a boy arbitrarily lifted a girl's skirt. These evil, are childhood evil, grow up, people's evil disguise, become hypocritical, become self-restraint, become accustomed to a kind of their own. I always support Xunzi's idea that human nature is evil, not Confucius's idea that human nature is good. Evil and good, man. What distinguishes humans from other animals is that we are not just predators and dormant, we are moral and thoughtful, we can control ourselves, we can be good. Human nature is evil, but it does not mean that everyone is evil. Do not think everyone is evil just because of the small evil in front of you. What education and law change is the majority of people, but cannot change, is those small evil, every society has, everyone may have some, occasionally exposed.

Day of Dependence
July 4th, 2022 10a.m. The nurse, with his I’ve-seen-this-too-many-times-before tone, and a somshow gentle yet firm glare, says, “Michael, I’m going to be honest with you. It doesn’t look good. Your leg is fractured in three places and it’s likely you won’t be able to walk the same ever again. The reason why I’m being this candid with you is because, statistically speaking, it takes 7 trips to the ER for domestic violence survivors to make a change. That means, either they get out of the relationship, or they are just no longer with us.” He looks me directly in the eyes and says, plainly, “You’re leaving him, right? I don’t want to see you here again.”

Psychology: in fact, quietly attract a person, is about method
If a lot of things are too hard, too hasty, but will let the effect of the matter itself greatly reduced. For example, if we hold a handful of sand in our hand and we want to grab more, but when we close our hand, we find that the sand loses more. For example, we pour a glass of water in the hope that we will drink more when we hold it. Instead, we fill it to the brim and spill it when we make the slightest mistake. This shows that everything has its own development process, not overnight, nor overnight. We should not blindly pursue speed, but step by step. The same is true of love. We like a person, and when we want to get his or her attention, we act in an enthusiastic manner, only to be perceived as abrupt and unpretentious. So psychological research suggests that quietly attracting someone is the way. We need to study each other's likes and dislikes and in psychology, there's the Cole effect, which is a combination of psychological cues and self-cues. Through the study of cole effect, we can find that a person's best friend is in the same and similar state with them in terms of education level, economic condition, social value and so on. When we are with people we are familiar with or interested in, there is a sense of connection and we have many topics in common. And the feeling of mutual integration, mutual absorption and coexistence generated by common topics will make people appreciate themselves more, thus playing a positive reinforcing role. Therefore, this is why it is easier for similar people to form a group, because when people live in such a group, they tend to have a stronger sense of security and belonging. Therefore, if we want to further shorten the distance between two people, we need to strike while the iron is hot. We can study each other's hobbies, we can ask each other's friends, we can also study each other's circle of friends, know each other's interests, and then do corresponding measures. This makes it easier for us to let each other down by being similar. According to official data from an Image Institute in the US, the overall impression a person gives to others is divided into three main components: appearance, personal behavior and words and deeds. Appearance accounted for 55 percent of the study, posture accounted for 38 percent of the way people behaved, and just 7 percent of what they said to each other. That is to say, the first impression between people is particularly important, which will affect the follow-up of two people to a certain extent. The older you get, the more you realize you can judge a book by its cover. A person full of ritual sense, external also naturally clean and neat; A lazy person doesn't make an effort to look sloppy or sloppy. In great Wisdom, Mr Choi said: "The heart is born in the heart. There is no room for a dark heart. A good heart has grace." First impressions tend to judge a person's inner qualities in a short time. A good appearance is not only respect for oneself, but also respect for others. After all, no one in this world is obligated to get to know your interesting soul from a scruffy exterior. Keep your mystery. As the saying goes, you can only talk to someone for three minutes, but you can't throw a heart. If something has no mystery at all, it can be seen at a glance, then it will not have any hidden intellectual appeal and will immediately lose interest. From this point of view, once we have laid the foundation through appearance and proper manner, the next step is to maintain this attraction. The key to staying attractive is to be measured: don't tell your partner everything about yourself. Keep half and half. Don't give away all the information you have about yourself, but let others dig and explore it. British writer Thackeray said: "Sow action, reap habit; Sow habits, reap character; Sow character, reap destiny." After we retain a certain amount of mystery, the other person gradually increases the emotional and time cost to us because they want to get to know us better. Happiness does not fall from the sky, it is the compensation for your hard work, no one can just brilliant, unless it is just a beautiful dream. In other words, love is something we must strive to achieve. Therefore, we need to take reasonable and effective ways to push our love towards the desired direction. The other person will gradually increase our emotional and time costs because they want to get to know us better. In My Place
The many “justices” of the 21st century that birthed the infinite dissatisfaction with the everlasting now, seem to be on course, headed straight for the inevitable never. I don't know what that means, someone said it to me in a dream. Have you ever thought that “never” and “forever” are the same place and neither one exists? What are we doing? Is it just me, or do we all seem to be be falling apart? On the inside, I feel like we look like we're all being held together by decrepit duct tape, stained with perpetually coagulating blood from wounds that we never allow to scab over? It seems to be losing its adhesive but still maintains its tackiness.

PEOPLE ON THEIR DEATH BED REGRETTED THIS
If you've ever been on your deathbed, chances are you'll regret not doing some things in your life. You will regret not trusting yourself and not loving yourself enough throughout the years. This is one of the most common regrets that patients have when they are dying. In fact, it's also one of the most common regrets that anyone can have in their life at any given point in time.
