Party's Over

The Beginning

Who am I?!

And why?

Born to die.

Dust to dust.

Ashes blown in the wind.

One drop in the ocean.

One tiny grain of sand -

Falling through the hourglass hands.

One blink - party's over,

before it even began.

But take my hand and understand,

There's more than meets the eye.

From dust to stardust,

Particles of nothing - exploding into life.

As shooting stars come falling from the sky,

One drops in the ocean,

And one ripple at a time,

Stardust turns to ocean swells,

Waves standing infinitely high.

And when they crash upon the shores,

Surely you will find -

The nuclei,

The universe,

In every tiny grain of sand.

Perfectly,

And imperfectly planned.

The Alpha and the Omega.

The beginning and the end.

You,

And I -

Stardust to stardust.

Yes - we were born to die,

And light the way across a million skies.

So shine and shine on,

The party is never over.

Everyday -

it only just began.
