An Emperor's Request
On August 15th following the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki the Emperor asked Japan to endure the unendurable. Ten minutes later my commanding officer, Kenji Takagawa assembled us in the main lecture hall. He openly wept as he announced that we had failed in our duty to protect Japan. “Japan’s shame is our shame. The defeat lays on our shoulders.” Then he recommended us all to return to our families and try to rebuild our shattered lives. All of us stood there stunned as he quietly returned to his office. From the lecture hall we watched through his office window as he drew his service revolver, put the short gray barrel in his mouth and pulled the trigger. As chief medical officer on base I was required to examine him, and fill out the death certificate.

WARNING: Your Mind is Overheating
Shit. I was supposed to be out of bed ten minutes ago. I need this job. I need to work exactly 42 hours this week to pay my bills, to have the allotted money for gas and groceries, to eat out once (no more than precisely 21 dollars with tip), to save the exact amount this week towards the computer I will buy in 4 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days.

Magic Meadow
The first several times I took the Chisholm trail south, it was to visit the Barnes & Noble bookstore on 15th Street or Jersey Mike’s Subs that sits on the Central Expressway service road; both establishments have been the recipient of a fair amount of my money over the years. This area was my new neighborhood. Naturally, I was in more of an explorer mode.

Carousel. Just a Very Simple Carousel. Or That is What it Seems.
Around and around and around we went. It felt like this would never end. I felt so sick. I was about to throw up. I do not know how my friends talked me into coming to this amusement park. It had great reviews, but so far, we have been on one roller-coaster. And it was appalling. I closed my eyes for a slight second on the ride because I felt dizzy. The next thing I know, I wake up on a bench right next to my best friend, Elizabeth. I was so confused about where we were, I tried sitting up, but I could not. Elizabeth looked down at me and said, "oh, hello, Becca, you are finally awake. It has been almost thirty-five minutes. Our other friends had left to go on other rides. But I stayed here with you. I got you some water. If you want to go home, we can. If you want to, you can continue to lay down for a little bit. Then if you feel better, we can go on more rides. It is your decision. If you want to go home, I can make you some soup, and you can rest. If you still have a bad headache, I can take you to the hospital."

A Star is Discovered
There she is, and right on time—the moment that has become the highlight of my day. Ever since the first time I saw her at university, I’ve been mesmerized and have been looking for a reason, and an opportunity, to talk to her. She was absolutely beautiful and had an air about her as though she didn’t truly realize how captivating she is…and that just added to her attractiveness. Her dark, curly hair, brown eyes, and baby face stood out in a sea of Germanic blondes with blue eyes and sharp cheekbones. To me, she was a rose floating in a sea of white lilies.

To Sea Inside
The brassy clamoring of car horns creates a cacophony, pierced only by drivers shouting and a wailing alarm siren. Simon realizes the traffic will not budge. Amid all the noise, his body registers and isolates a deep, low vibration, and for a moment he feels inside a giant dynamo. The can of Cola on his dashboard rattles and falls. The rumble becomes a sound.

Flushing Turbulent
Upon the many currents under ocean linings. Winding roads spread out in vastness battling to maintain an equilibrium. We tampered with natures natural rhythms. Distorting disarray with total disorder. Chaos realms as mother nature battles with human blending torrential hazards consisting of all the devils from mankind's evil selfish spreads. We are but stuck in a rut, for it be such disastrous mess.

To the Gemini's of the world!
OVERALL: Your month will be filled with mixed fortunes! It may a really good month. It may be a really bad month. It would be best if you focused on changing yourself. Unless you like yourself- then you should stay true to your path.
