If This, Then That
If that, Then this Being a script writer or any type of writer to be exact take more than just writing. It's also about researching what's out there in the general public and what makes that project so popular. In the past couple of years I got back engaged with television. I stop because I thought it was just a waste of time but recently I learned that you can learn from any source of publication that is out there nowadays. Just know what to believe and what not to believe because well some people use their gifts and talents to misinterpreted others. I been watching cable show's, Netflix, Amazon prime, and recently got introduce to Flix Tor. One of my favorite shows I have to tune in on my CW app. That show is none other than All American. I been watching All American well over a year now and it is a show that kept my attention ever since. It's base on a true story about an African-American professional football player Spencer Paysinger. Though I don't know anything about Spencer Paysinger I do know most of the things detailed in this show is about him. It's one of those show's that teaches you about social awareness and striving for your dreams. It's base on a highschool football player trying to make it to the pros. As he well on his way he had obstacles he had to over come. I like this show because well I'm a African-American and I feel connected to this tale because it share similarities to my upbringing. Though I never played football in highschool I did wanted to but my grandmother thought I would get hurt. I'm more intrigued by the writer and how he break down the elements of struggle. Though Beverly hills is a wealthy successful neighborhood the children from there still struggle with there own life problems. Olivia struggle with addiction, Asher struggle with his parents separation and steroids. Layla struggle from mental problems past on by her decease mom and her feelings for Spencer. Yeah it's even more but another reason I like this show is because it's a show that's break's through the racial burial's. Showing inter-racial relationship's and solving problems together no matter your ethnic background.

Comfort Shows: An Amateur's Guide
I'll start this with a confession: I rarely watch new shows. As a sufferer of anxiety and depression, I rarely can or want to get stuck into something new, often using TV as background noise for writing, or scrolling through social media (confession #2: it's almost always the latter). As I type this, the TV is blaring out season 9 episode 20 of The Big Bang Theory. Have I watched this show umpteen times? Yes. Am I paying much attention to what's going on? No. Am I going to keep it on anyway? Hell yes.

The Great Truth of Big Little Lies
I think Ludacris said it best when he gave us the genius line of lyrics, “When I was thirteen, I had my first love”. For me at least, that first love was then ABC’s smash hit television series “Pretty Little Liars”. I think it’s a rite of passage in the upbringing of any queer boy to become engrossed in a poorly written drama in which you are definitely NOT the target demographic, and I definitely played this part well. Part of me was really infatuated by the mystery of the lives of Ally, Aria, Emily, Hannah, Mona, and Spencer, but I’m pretty sure I ultimately just wanted to be able to tell my mom that I too enjoyed soap operas and red wine past my bedtime. I was thirteen.

Whovians, meet The Magicians
If you have ever heard whispers of the Doctor Who fandom, you've probably heard "SuperWhoLock," a term coined by tumblr. The name comes due to the large crossover of fans in the Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock fandoms. Most people assume if you like one, you definitely like the others.

Modern Schitt's Creek Family
Who remembers Modern Family? Of course we do. That was a great show wasn't it? We all loved Modern Family. Remember there was Sofia Vergara as Gloria and her husband Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett. ( He also played Al in Married With Children. Lol.) They had a son named Manny, played by Rico Rodriguez. There were great characters on that show. That's why we all loved it, because it wasn't one of those type shows that made you say things like- "No way!" - or - "That would never happen". Instead, Modern Family was down to Earth. Real people dealing with real life and real issues. When we watched Modern Family we would say things like- "That's right sister! You said it !"- or - " Isn't that the truth!". It was a show that we all could identify with in some way. I'm sure there was an episode or three that we all could relate too. It was fun to watch and when it went of the air, it was a sad day. Let's see a show of hands of those who got a little teary-eyed watching the last episode? I know, me too.

Four Shows to Watch if You Loved Criminal Minds
So you've done it. You've spent the last few months binge watching all fifteen seasons of one of the best criminal shows running (did I say the last few months? It's lockdown, it's probably only been weeks, yeah?). It's only recently that it has come out that the streaming service, Paramount + will revive the series for a sixteenth season, potentially more. But, if you love to binge watch shows, and hate waiting each week for another episode to come out, and particularly if you loved criminal minds, here are four more binge worthy shows you'll love.

If This, Than That
This past year is one that we will never forget. Most of us have grown weary with the waiting. Trying to be creative with the time that we have has been a challenge for most of us. When we first entered into isolation, it was difficult for some of us, especially little children with no one to play with. I read a sad story about a little boy who couldn't take it. He was just too lonely. Even though his parents tried to do what they could to help him, they couldn't take him anywhere to be helped.

The Space Between Us
With my head on my husband, Paul’s shoulder, I sometimes laughed, sometimes gasped, and occasionally wiped a tear that had welled up in my eye as we watched our favorite sci-fi show, Stargate SG-1. It was our nightly ritual. We watched all the episodes multiple times. Nerdy, I know, but it was our thing. We also watched the movie Stargate a couple of times. The show is from our favorite genre, with characters we love, and the characters we love to hate.
